nah but seriously, when Halo 4 dropped, the playlists were down several times a day and whatnot but all this talk of the superior structure of live should have prevented this right?

Gears of War 3 is a MESS online without dedicated servers. Damn near every game I've played or heard about on XBL suffers the same problems as any other versions available. That's my problem with you XBL users, you pretend that there is nothing wrong with it and it works 99%. Is it more stable than PSN, yes but the fact that it's even comparable most of the time is an insult. Yes, PSN had an outage years ago due to rising tension between hackers and Sony because of Geohotz but they were a target. What makes you think XBL's security is insurmountable and untouchable?
Again I have both and I have a free month of XBL I can use right now but I just couldn't care less to turn it on. Xbox Live isn't impressive to me in the least. All I see is a a community of players, united under a console that was popular with a cheaper entry price. The propaganda has you guys believing XBL is some unprecedented phenomena that never existed.

While the majority have an internet connection, there are still millions who don't. You think every 360 user had an internet connection?

I know the XBox 1 will have games, that's a given. But for them to pretty much alienate an entire consumer group (those with very limited or no internet connection) is absurd.

Same thing was said when XBL dropped as broadband only. And we see how that ended up.

Also nothing has been confirmed yet and there are rumors that there will be some type of option for members of the military or other customers that may not have access to the Internet.

When you repeat a lie so many times, people start to believe it. It started merely as a joke because of a frigging disconnection issue I had years ago during UC2 MP matches and it became a running gag that was always said by Court. My connection as evidenced by the ping test and speed test says otherwise. You guys can keep living in the realm where you think XBL is immaculate and any faults with it by users are mishaps on their behalf.

and here's your problem. every issue that happens with an online game is not the consoles servers. you do realize the actual game makers also have servers right? and code that they push. if the code is bad. bad online for anyone xbox or ps. if their servers suck, same thing.

Pretty much 80% of the people in targeted territories have the Internet. There is a very limited minority of people on earth who have the money/desire you use high end electronics but don't have the Internet.

Thanks for proving my point. Xbots totally disregard this logic when it comes to PS3 games. When people complain of a issue with a MP game or connection, it's the PS3's fault. When said thing happens on Xbox, it's the game code/game's server fault and NOT xbox live's fault.

Xbox Live is not down as much as PSN, that's not my argument. I'm well aware of the fact that Xbox live is up way more than it is down.

PSN on the other hand, has lots of scheduled maintenance and that can be an annoyance but hey it comes with it's territory, it's free . Plus most of the time, it's the PS Store that's down but most of the time online MP can still be accessed. Also PSN being hacked doesn't mean XBL CAN'T be hacked but then we can't prove that unless you know.. it actually gets hacked.
