running games off a hard drive on consoles has been around since the PS2, this is not new.No it's all y'all doing the complaining that's thinking small. The Internet is the future soon(if not already) the Internet will be a common commodity like gas or electricity. You don't complain that your stove needs a constant gas connection to work.
Furthermore the benefits far outweigh the requirment. Playing games directly from your hardrive with no disc needed is status. Same with the sharing and being able to access your entire games library from ANY Xbox, no disc required.
Also as with any console feature developers won't spend a lot of time/money on a feature that is not common amongst users. With X1 guaranteeing that its users will have the Internet developers will make games with that in mind. Titan Fall is the earliest example of this.
