Serously... Even on my PC I don't complicate things. I know that buying games on steam only works on Steam and that isn't a problem because almost every game is available there. I dont' worry about offline gaming because there really isn't any verifiable proof that you have 30 days to play. Even then, 30 days is ample time to rectify your connection woes if that's the case.

as it is, it's easy to get over on Steam. you can have your account on multiple computers, but it can only be signed into one at a time. so you can download single player games from one account onto several computers, but then leave them all in offline mode, and play for a month. then you just have to sign in once, and you get another month

obviously M$ doesn't want to let people do that

call it 'Good Guy Valve' or whatever, but these are the kinds of compromises Valve had to make because piracy is such an issue on the PC

Japan, but from the 989
I just don't understand the rationale behind this business strategy. I understand that you want to maximize profits but you are unfortunately trying to inconvenience the consumer. It is like they created an addict that needs to be connected to the internet to function. If it doesn't get a hit every day, it shuts down. And I believe this game sharing among your family is complete bullshyt. I'm not buying the idea that Microsoft would allow one person to buy a game then share it to ten people. They are going to curve that shyt or have your connect do face recognition every time it the game is shared. People are going to abuse the shyt outta that. But yeah you can still watch your tv....get the fukk outta here with that. You can do that shyt now without an Xbox! After all these details I'm not impressed or motivated to waste money on this system. Microsoft will respect your privacy with Kinect....until the NSA asks to use their technology. If they respected your privacy they wouldn't have added that shyt to the Xbox in the first place and made it optional.

To these cats, they think they're going to log in on a different Xbone, see games and magically play them instantly with flawless streaming and picture quality.
Well if you remember the leaks from before you will be able to play games WHILE INSTALLING. So when you sit down at a different Xbox it will install the game WHILE YOUR PLAYING IT.

Welcome to 2004

I said "with ease" obviously your computer can do all that. But obviously no one has made a computer system intuitive enough to bring all this to your living room for a seamless experience. That's why people buy consoles.

I think anyone who's disinterested in console wars can agree that this is unnecessarily complicated. Consoles shouldn't become as complex as PC gaming. If PS4's gamesharing is the same as it is now with 2 accounts and no bullshyt authentication on used games etc., it'll be much more appealing if that's conveyed more aggressively to the consumer in comparison to the arbitrary restrictions the Xbone is imposing. Your average Joe Schmoe would immediately turn down a Xbone if all these dumb rules are communicated to him.

No this is much easier. You can buy any game from home DAY ONE. Then Skype a buddy and let him try it out for free WITHOUT LEAVING YOUR HOME.:ooh:

you can't really do this trading and sharing shyt with Steam. you can only trade games 'bought as gifts'. basically you're just buying a game for someone else, or sometimes the have package deals where you can buy like 3 copies of a game for cheap. but games in your 'library', even if you never actually install them, can't be traded

Yeah I know it doesn't work exactly the same. People love the way steam and smart phones work. It looks like X1 is trying to take the best of those two concepts and place them in the living room. If they pull it off this could be something special.:blessed:

Im willing to bet that come E3 we will see why MS decided to take this route. Publishers might love this shyt and shower them with timed exclusives. We have already had one leak today in Titanfall.

TYRONE GA!
The real question is will single player games even exist anymore? cause from the sounds of it majority of single player games are going online only with cloud computing for AI/Physics basically like MMOs

Same shyt I'm wondering.

XB1 is a baby DD console. Closer to a PC, but with more/strange limitations and features.

Cloud shyt is already being done with dedicated servers, but again it's for online type games (MMOs, Shooters).

The single player game doesn't need to die.
