I'm sorry but i have an HDMI cable going from my PC directly to one of the 4 HDMI ports on my TV. the Wii U is on one, the PS3 is on another and the 360 is on the last one.

i don't need a set top box that provides PC type functionality. i got a 42 inch Vizio sitting next to my 55 inch LG in the living room. i don't need multitasking on the Xbox and its not like they're gonna give you full blown Windows anyway.

i wanna play games on my game consoles. fukk all that other garbage.

The X1 has hdmi passthrough so that should help with at one hdmi hookup.

yeah

in regards to the os yes i think you "technically" need it but in regards to l playing games no. from what i've been reading you can actually hook it up and not use it all which makes it completely different from the wii.
