It doesn't matter what *you* personally can/cannot get. It matters to the people buying what Sony is offering. The standards they set matters. MS set the standard where you don't need their hardware. That matters. No one is looking at the Xbox and saying, I need an Xbox series X because MS introduced Xbox live in 2002 or because of a fukking gamerscore. None of that shyt matters to real people. Nobody gives a shyt about who did what first on a mainstream level. That's fanboy list-wars shyt. What is the selling point for the Xbox today? And why should people choose it over what the competition is offering?
So you gonna pretend like for the last almost 5 years on this forum, that me and a few others haven't been saying MS main focus will no longer be to sale the most consoles? Because since 2018 I've clearly been saying thats the direction I've seen them trending towards.

You still ain't tell me what PlayStation offers that people can't get anywhere else? Ill wait on that answer, maybe it'll come to you in 8 months to a year like their 1st party titles come to PC.

And as far as not caring about what they've done, you the one talking about Xbox did nothing and have no identity. Then when I list a few things it's all of a sudden it's fanboy and console war fodder that doesn't matter :heh: Meanwhile Xbox is still known as the "FPS" console, it lost the WRPG title but it'll have that back soon as well.

I :mjlol: Everytime hardware sales and 1st party sales are brought up. Xbox hardware will never go away as long as the higher ups stick to this roadmap they have and eventually Sony gonna reach a point of diminishing return (If they haven't already, which I suspect they have) themselves and be in the same boat as Xbox if they don't start to pivot to other things besides the hundred million dollar games and hardware sales.

You might as well look at Xbox and game pass as synonymous from here on out :yeshrug:

Clowning y'all Stan's when it does out sell PS is never gonna stop.

Especially when that's not the main goal. :mjlol:

Try again gizzy

Yes, repeatedly posting xbox sales milestones and npds is all fun and trolling when they up. You really think anyone here is that dumb 😂

We all knew yall would eventually change your tone once the ps5 stock got sorted out. This is what makes it extra funny

Oh you got me, I definitely thought Xbox would randomly out sale PlayStation a month out the blue and then continue do so.

:mjlol:

Y'all dudes was the ones and continue to be the ones saying series X and S aren't selling and sitting on shelfs.

Then you wanna act like we tone switching when we post hard sales.

@The Mad Titan

What do you TRULY with all jokes aside, think is the MAIN reason Xbox isn't selling as good as Playstation is?

You can't even bring up "stans" because like you guys like to say almost everyone outside of internet forums don't really get into these intricate details you're trying to bring up. And don't say "c0V1D!!" nikka.

What happened its not hard to understand, go back to march 21, 2013. That Don Marttrick presentation killed the brand. and to add, the stupid idea of of policy about used games and when asked about the always online, is answer was "remember guys if you don't have Internet we have a product for you, It's called Xbox 360." :snoop:

From that point, sony got the game on their side. Im sure they even did a short video mocking xbox about the used games. lol

I loved my 360. Superior multiplats & online services, Mass Effect, Fable, ect. I wasn't remotely checking for the PS4.

And then Dan Mattrick & Microsoft made the decision for me, and I wasn't the only one given how lopsided that generation was. It can't overstated how detrimental that Xbox One rollout was to the brand & their public relations. All but the most hardcore Xbox gamers took Mattrick up on his offer & took their money elsewhere.

from a casuals perspective Looking from the outside in, theres just not enough of a difference between Xbox and Playstation at this point to choose the less popular, less talked about, and less owned platform. Unlike phones and TV’s theres not even a big enough price gap between them to sway their opinion for people who are budget conscious.

In terms of Europe, Asia, and emerging markets theres just no big effort even on Microsofts behalf to go above and beyond to reach them. Sony has been putting in work in these markets for three decades, a lot of marketing, localization efforts, plentiful stock and promotions. Etc.

You would never see Microsoft have a bundle like this in India for example…

Cricket bundles in India, FIFA bundles across Europe, COD/Spider-Man bundles across the US, Final Fantasy bundles in Japan

Downfall started with The back half of the 360 starting with Kinect. Once the 3rd party exclusives and times exclusives ran their course they had nothing on the first party side and it continued up till recently. Mattrick is a convenient scapegoat ( he deserves to be shyt on) but the issues began before him.

Sony understood with the PS3 that you gotta have your own internal studio games that make people want your system as they couldn't rely any longer on third party joints like the PS1 and especially the PS2 did. Nintendo proritized first party with the 64 after 3rd parties stopped fukkin with them and their high ass royalty fees and deferred to the PlayStation1.

Everyone who had a 360 went to PS4 and PS5.

Much of the 360 base were formerly PS2 users tho. That price point killed the PS3 initially. Reduction in price and great exclusive games saved it.

I think this is a good point also. A lot of us that had a 360 and enjoyed it were still playstation fans. I owned both the original xbox and 360 but Playstation was always the bigger brand, so as soon as 360 started to slip with big games and RROD it was easy to slide back to the day one.

Microsoft had a momentary taste of what it’s like to win in gaming, and they couldn’t make it last more than a couple of years. Sadly there are still stans from that era that refuse to let it go, they must have lost their virginity when 360 was poppin or something

Who gives a shyt what people on forums have been saying? You don't matter. Microsoft's focus is on getting people to spend inside their ecosystem. And their largest driver of subscriptions is consoles. What happens when you make your console useless like they have? And when your out-console subscriptions aren't moving?

I told you already. Go ask the people who give Sony 100m+ sales almost every generation. Go ask the people who choose to spend in their ecosystem. You can keep downplaying that all you want, but again, you.don't.matter.

The Xbox has no identity. Tell me its identity. Why do people need it? What are they offering over the competition that matters to people? What are they offering that makes them want to go out and buy one? In 2023 Xbox has nothing you can't get elsewhere. And it's been that way for years.

You laugh as a coping mechanism. You can't cope with the reality of the Xbox serving no real purpose.

A worthless box with a rental service that nobody wants.
