I'm AMAZED, simply amazed, at how the Series X sub immediately and completely absorbs any and all messaging MS directs their way. The comments under this discussion over there are just 300 replies of people repeating MS talking points verbatim, the kind of corpo speak you'd see in an investor prospectus or earnings call, completely mindless drone shyt. Microsoft has heavily invested in Game Pass. Nintendo and Sony aren't ever going to allow Game Pass on their hardware because they see it as value destructive.
So is he saying we want Game Pass on Sony and Nintendo hardware or is he saying they're gonna piecemeal all their games on rival platforms? If they're piecemealing Xbox Studios games on Nintendo and Sony hardware because Game Pass isn't allowed then they should just end Game Pass and Xbox as a whole and do what SEGA did.
If I can get any Xbox Studios game I want on PlayStation I'd never buy another Xbox again even with Game Pass. I'd just wait for the bottom to fall out on the price of the individual games I want and buy them then.
I see it as a combination of him pining to put Game Pass on other platforms and also stuff like Overwatch, Diablo, Call of Duty, that they just acquired that have multiplayer communities on other platforms will continue BAU. I don't think Halo Post-Infinity, Perfect Dark, and Gears 6 are on PlayStation. Could be wrong though.

they just close there eyes to what's happening in the real world
It's really not that hard, having gamepass on everything potentially would also mean price and tier shakeups as well as what you can play at what tier.
Highest tier would be something like a Ultimate + where you could play all the 1st party games on any platform. Maybe only available with a 6 months or yearly subscriptions or you can only stream them on certain platforms, who knows.
But in the long wrong the best place and value to play said games would be on Xbox.
As long as Xbox remains the most attractive or valued way to play said games it doesn't matter where you can play them at.
