I agree that I doubt it wouldn't work w/out internet connection.
But the end part you said is just flat out bull bruh.
What rural area you talking about that doesn't have internet :wtf:
Where

If you post up a picture of some 3rd world country where nikkaz don't even wear shirts as a requirement.. I don't think they playing ps4's anytime soon

There's plenty of areas, even somewhat close to me, that dont have convenient high speed internet access.

You have to get a satellite dish or something in order to get internet. And even then it's not fast enough to support online gaming.

Every area doesnt have underground lines from At&T or Time WArner etc. The area I live in now was new, and didnt have high speed internet at first(like several years ago), but now theres lots of options.

You lived in a city all your life so you wouldnt understand.

I do :leon:
Damn, you guys seem to know everything about me. Mostly shyt I didn't even know myself.
Anyways, I have heard ppl say lame shyt like what you say. Then I say where?
And they usually run off at that point. but since you still here, where are these places lacking in high speed internet in america :stopitslime:
Fios is generally new, and I understand hasn't reached everywhere yet.
Fios isn't broadband standard. The xbox 1 used broadband. There was no Fios back then. DSL is everywhere. Or are you saying that some areas only have Dial-up :snoop:

Who the fukk would have Dial-up in 2013.. and then rock a PS4

nikka, you making up shyt. Stop that my nikka...

nikka I'm not about to tell you where I live :aicmon:

The hell would I have get on the internet and LIE about petty sh*t like places nearby me not having internet access? :what::wtf:
What purpose would that serve?

Just believe me when I tell you there's places within 20 miles of me that DON'T have cable TV access or high speed internet without the use of some inconvenient alternative.

1.) Did I ask you where you live? Are you implying you live in an area where nikkaz still got Dial-up tho :gladbron:

2.) Why would you have to lie? Because on the internet people get really weird and have this "I can't be wrong" complex. So they say outlandish bullshyt. What your saying is not the first time I heard some retard say that. The fact you refuse to answer the question is all we need to see here.
Look, I live in Virginia. Northern Virginia. We got HSInternet here.
Now its your turn. What state. What city. I don't need your address
If I was pressed, there's programs that could get all that for me :hula:
Point Im making is if you answer the question, we'd see how you are full of shyt. Cuz we'd then just look it up :yeshrug:
Dial up ain't poppin in 2013 so :stopitslime:

when the next gen systems come out the price of the old gen systems will drop anyway, so anyone who wants to play them old games can just cop one of them old systems. backwards compatibility really dont mean shyt

I live in alabama and outside of the cities the houses can be real spread out. That honestly is about 30% of the state. Plus I work for the power company and they contract engineers all the time to work with them to supply power to grids to spread the internet. I've been in florida, georgia, louisiana, texas and oklahoma, for seminars and conferences on how to expand internet infrastructure to rural areas and make it cost prohibitive to power companies to work with hsi providers. Also dsl isnt readily available everywhere, dsl requires more than just a phoneline to work there are boosters required and and if the run between houses is too long then they wont install it. Same with cable, it's possible to have cable and not have internet access as well due to the distance between houses.

That greed is getting to epic levels.

That's because they know they have people like court who would pawn in his kids toys, clothe, and accessories to buy their system. Court would probably connect 20 Ethernet wires and steal his neighbors internet and steal money from his wifes purse to pay for Live.

The irony of the bolded...and you have the audacity to call someone else retarded? :mindblown:

Many Rural AT&T Customers Still Lack High-Speed Internet Despite Merger Promise

Plenty of people in the South, the Midwest, RURAL AREAS...they don't have broadband access.

You're either dense, or or doing your decade old "dikkriding MS" trolling again

Also: no respect for your rural brothers, huh? Filed.

This is hilarious. People are making huge assumptions and purchase decisions based on rumors and innuendo. I agree that if this system is online only and not backwards compatible it would be a HUGE hinderance to the success of this console. However, Im certain the PS4 will be offering the exact same restrictions so ps funboys should relax a bit.

It seems like i'll be sticking with the xbox 360 and Maxed out PC combo for some time to come.

I think you guys misunderstood what I was saying. I know DSL hasn't reached every single crevice of American soil.
Are there people who still use Dial-up? Sure. AOL has 3 million subscribers still (Tru Story)
The places you guys seem to be talking about, do they even have that?
Now I know what a Rural area is. Some of them you see a house, then you gotta drive for 5 mins before you see another house.
Beautiful country land, makes me wanna cry as I put my hand over my heart as the Radio is blastin some Kenny Chesney singing God Bless America :whew:
And I think to myself... and I say "Self.. should an always on connection for the new Xbox be contingent upon roughly 500 houses in Lynchburg County in Bumfukk Alabama???
Does Bumfukk Alabama have a high attach rate???" :dwillhuh:

I said all along I doubt you couldn't use your xbox w/o a internet connection unless :ohhh:
Didn't my nikka Courtdogstradamus say XBL would turn into a cable company and it would have games somewhat like how Sega did with Comcast. You need an internet connection to access everything because everything will be INSIDE XBL :wow: What a visionary
