Isn't that always the case, and you shouldn't be comparing a rebranded closed system GPU to a PC GPU anyway
nah, in generations past the consoles usually had an edge for a while (1 year or so)

Its just showing how things are changing in the gaming space. Been a couple of years now, but if I remember correctly the PC really didn't start shytting on this console cycle till about 2007...that's a year+. It might not be the case this time because of how pc gaming has come back

If remember correctly when Sony announced the ps3 it had basically a gtx 7800... and the Gtx 7800 was released shortly after that announcement. Plus the AMD 8000 series isn't even out yet and the amd 7000 series has been out what a year? Sounds like a normal cycle. If anything its fake cause its expensive as fukk.

we already happy with the current gen graphics. what do you want? you want real life gaming? step outside.

People said this every generation, and every generation they came out with something that had us like :blessed:

I think as we move forward things like gameplay and production value will continue to improve more than graphics. We have already seen some of this in games like LA Noire, Uncharted, Skyrim, and even games like Darksiders and Dragons Dogma had gameplay elements that wouldn't have been possible last generation. Look at the scope of Assasins Creed 3 and imagine hat they can do with that much more processing power.

I personaly can't wait till the next generation of consoles come out have you seen the trailer for Watch Dogs?

:mindblown: which ps3 exclusive was assassin creed like? What about bioshock? Mass effect? Fallout? Skyrim? Call of duty?

You can't be serious. Most of ps3's exclusives were knockoffs of other games. Call of duty perfected the large action set pieces before uncharted. Gears perfected the stop and pop cover system. Uncharted is nothing but gears mixed with COD with some summer blockbuster action movie paint on it.

The only really original exclusives this generation were gears and heavy rain. Everything else was sequels or rehashes of already proven ideas and gameplay.
There are literally no new gaming concepts outside of dark souls even in all that shyt you mentioned. And speaking of all that you shyt you mentioned it's all forgettable at best outside of fallout. Bioshock, skyrim creed lol call of fukking duty :flabbynsick: Man even gears 1 was cool but that clunky ass game got marked by uncharted 2 gameplay wise and ain't been right since. There cover system was cool until uncharted came out. I literally don't see how you can play a game like assassin's creed two and not see the ps influence from asc 1 . Look at games like far cry 3 Max Payne fukking tomb raider and how can you not see elements of ps exclusive influences to make there campaign more epic. PlayStation literally owned this Gen single player campaign. From mgs to last of us the amount of :ohlawd::wow: moments aren't even close to being matched. Outside of fallout, gears 1 and modern warfare every thing else is just occupying space. Hell to be honest I always looked at demon souls as a ps exclusive and that shyts on skyrim.

To my human Eye...I think detail/graphics wise we've peaked out on what you can see PC wise for awhile ....that is...in regards to what I think developers are willing to put in for normal release cycles. I think going forward its pretty much going to be having the power to maintain high frame rates, the ram needed to fulfill what's needed, bigger hard drives, online technology might start taking it up a notch hopefully, etc.

People have to realize just because power keeps rising on these consoles doesn't mean developers are going to keep rising costs and development time to actually fully take advantage of it. There will be a line that they will stop at to make sure they can keep near normal development cycles.

Gonna be more about creativity and gameplay I think...as well as other perks

Specs dont mean as much to consoles as they do to PC's. Since PC's have to work harder to have better graphics.

You have to be the only person on earth that believes this. Any way you look at it sales, reviews, awards, all those games outperform your Sony exclusives.

That Sony fanboyism got a strong hold on you :wow:

Man even gears 1 was cool but that clunky ass game got marked by uncharted 2 gameplay wise and ain't been right since. There cover system was cool until uncharted came out.
:shaq2: I'm not even a big Gears fan but I know the cover system works way better than Uncharted. And I thought you said PS3 exclusives were the ones doing the influencing, not being influenced.

I literally don't see how you can play a game like assassin's creed two and not see the ps influence from asc 1 .
:pachaha: so any game that improves, has the magical "ps influence" to thank.

You Sony fanboys are funny

:ohhh: so Sony created "Epic" and any game that has an epic feel is influenced by PS. Never mind the fact that Call of Duty, Mass effect, and Bioshock and even Halo did "epic" way better and before Uncharted was released.

Metal gear is no longer a PS exclusive and the last of us hasn't even been released yet:pachaha:

Demons souls better than skyrim?:snoop: it's not even better than dark souls which wasn't a PS3 exclusive

:whew: that Sony fanboy shyt done fukked you all up.

the PC been shytting on consoles ever since the Quake / Quake 2 era. which is like 1995/1996. around the sametime Ram and 3D Cards became cheaper.

i could even go back to the Doom days. but since nobody really had a computer back then i won't count that. lol

Breh Sony been pushing epic games since Xbox and all those MULTIPLATFORM games existed. God of War, Final Fantasy X, SOTC etc. Uncharted spawned a new trend of cinematic gaming where you watch something cool happen except most games force you to a cutscene where as Uncharted is controllable.

Ok Sony created "Epic" so any game that is considered epic is copying off of Sony:pachaha:

You still forget the OG Halo was out before any of this, but go ahead and keep believing Sony created "epic"

Oh and call of duty and bioshock had the big playable "epic" scenes before uncharted this generation.

Halo I'm sorry was NOT epic. I played and beat Halo 1 and it was a good FPS but there wasn't "epic" scale battles and huge setpieces in it. That's what I'm talking about. After Uncharted 2 came out it seemed as if every game tried to do cinematic scenes and huge setpieces coupled with real life mo cap acting. Played Halo 4? Since when did Halo have all these set pieces and acting in it's cinematics? What about the new Tomb Raider?? Or what about Castlevania looking like God of War and that other rip off Dante's Inferno jacking God of War?

Hell even Sony games themselves started to borrow elements from Uncharted like INfamous 2. I noticed right after Uncharted 2 launch and got critical reception a lot of games started to squeeze uncharted like elements in their game. Bioshock 1 doesn't remind me of that. COD yea but every game is a COD imitator now even Uncharted tried to borrow from COD in it's MP but UC2 SP was a huge influence to most other games.

:childplease: see that's why there is no point in even talking about these things with you fanboys. You'll gladly ignore reality, and rewrite history to try and prove your point. Everything about Halo was epic, there's no other word you could use to describe that game. From the huge battles involving multiple enemies, allies, and vehicles, to the story spanning multiple generations, planets, and races. Hell even the music was epic.

I agree that God of War has influenced a lot of games, but even that's arguable since Ninja Gaiden came out first.

So if COD and Gears of War influenced Uncharted, then how is it that uncharted is influencing all these games? Wouldn't it seem that it's still COD and gears doing the influencing?
