Oh..So they trying to sell the Xbox 720 like it's a cell phone.
Xbox owner here
If this shyt is true , I'm jumping ship with quickness
We haven't seen or heard anything official from Microsoft, at this point there would be ZERO reason to pay 500 on a xbox besides that being someones system of choice.
When it comes down to it over all unless it was a sony exclusive even with superior hardware the games that dropped on both system always ran better on the xbox and looked better because 9/10 it was dev'd on a xbox kit. When the Ps3 was going for 500 most people didn't even use the blu ray and blu ray dvd where going for over 25$ a pop. nikka's was coming in buying romantic comedies used just to have a blu ray.
So again whats the point in have the horsepower if your just going to go below the speed limit most of the time.
I worked at a gaming store from 2004-2006 and still do it when I can for fun part time and aint much changed. People are mindless zombies when it comes to sony... Not so much nintendo and microsoft.
I don't get how people dismiss the stuff sony does and bash nintendo and microsoft so badly.
And to keep it 100% I've had some of my best gaming experiences on ps1 and ps2 so its no bias.
If the Xbox is $500 and the ps4 has better hardware, then the ps4 will cost $600 again.
Publishers have already decided to make connections required for play regardless of the platform.
And extra options on how to pay for the console are actually a good thing. Don't have $500 to put down, then pay a little more over time. Don't like that idea pay the $500 and be done with it.
Sony will be stuck with its $600 price tag and again only the most loyal Sony followers will purchase the system until the price goes down.
600 aint happening again bruh. They've already shut that down.
Just give up bruh....
So how's that possible. If you believe the 720 will be $500 and the ps4 will have better, more expensive hardware. How does the ps4 drop at such a low price point?
Smh at fools thinking that Xbox heads are really paying 60 dollars a year for a live subscription. nikkas are stupid if they are. I find em amazon for 30-35 cop two and I'm set for 2 years. Dumb nikkas.

I think that an always-on Xbox is directly in keeping with Microsoft's strategy for all next-generation platforms, including Windows Phone (all versions) and Windows 8/RT, which are designed to work as if you are simply connected all the time.
"Yes, they do work offline, of course. But the apps platform on these systems - which will be replicated on the Windows 8-based next Xbox - assumes a connection. Microsoft's new platforms are integrated conduits for online services.
Thurrott claims he has access to documents that reveal the next Xbox "must be internet-connected to use", but says he's not sure of the precise ramifications. On the whole, though, he's optimistic about the unannounced console. "I look at all this stuff that I've seen about Durango and I think, 'it's all positive.' I don't really see any bad news here at all. Like to me, everything I've seen about this is really positive.
"It's amazing to me that, based on like no information at all, everyone is like freaking out about everything. Aside from this online thing, by the way, the number one question I've gotten from people is, 'What does it look like?' Who gives a shyt what it looks like?
Let's not let one ill-conceived comment ruin what's going to be an awesome year for Xbox. And yes, it really is going to be awesome.
