Most people don't give a fukk about the characters besides Wolverine and dudes like Magneto.

Nobody gives a fukk about characters like Jean or Cyclops

But we always get these fukking Jean stories


From the cartoons, to the movies, to the reboots, Jean's story always be the snooze fest.

In my personal opinion I don't believe so.

I don't even think people from this generation fukk with Xmen like that in general tbh.

We grew up with Xmen how people are big on the avengers now

Coming up in the 90s I never thought I'd see the day where the avengers were more popular than the X-Men but low and behold they sure enough are.

Good solid movie. Not special. Saw the same shyt with Venom to an extent. Villains could have been fleshed out more IMO.

that train scene was DOPE. Storm was infinitely better this movie. She improved greatly from Apocalypse. Wish we could keep Fassbender as Mags. He kills the role. I do hope that in the MCU that Scott will get his just due.

Yeah, Storm did her thing in this one and was way better than she was in Apocalypse.

Cyclops is and always will be my fav Xman.

I still remember that game I believe on Nintendo or Sega that I used to play with him HEAVY.

Hopefully Marvel when they cast him in the future gets a guy who has a more commanding screen presence and is over 6’2

Simon Kinberg Likens Dark Phoenix's Original Ending to Captain America: Civil War and Captain Marvel

"My original ending didn’t have the entire X-Family together the way they are in the film now. More than Captain Marvel, you could see a lot of Civil War in that ending. Usually, these big, huge action movies have the climactic moment in the third act. I loved the way that Civil War had its big action action set piece where everyone’s facing off more towards the end of the second act rather than in the third, so that after that huge battle, you’re left with Winter Soldier, Captain America, and Iron Man.

"It’s this telescoped down view of their raw emotions, and I loved how intimate that was. That’s what I was going for with Dark Phoenix’s ending even though it then might have looked like Captain Marvel for about two minutes."

Made the mistake of trying to emulate Marvel instead of making his own film

It's fukking ridiculous that mystique is the leader of the x men as well as a beacon of hope for mutants everywhere.

And yeah they did all of that just to appease her rising star power. I gotta give it up to MCU for firing ed Norton.

They appeased Robert Downey Jr. He got paid a lot instead of getting replaced, hell his name was right under Marvel and ahead of the avengers in movie titles.

Saw it last night in Dolby vision/atmos Amc

The first act started off real good and slowly declined after, still a good movie

Character points

Quicksilver: I was semi disappointed with his lack of use, after the rescue mission or dark phoenix incident we didnt see him until the very the end.
In days of futures past, or apocalypse he had scene stealing action, that lasted enough to make an impact on the audience. That was missing here

Cyclopse: most disrespected x man ever, no character arc, however his optic blast were on full display during certain points of the movie.

Storm: no arc, had more to do in this movie, especially at the end but I'm ready for her to be recasted.

Magneto and prof X were the highlights of this movie as expected, Jean grey was solid also

The final action sequence was action packed, but the climax just didn't feel like the stakes were high, although there were plenty of cool scene....

This movie is a 7/10...good movie..nothing more, nothing less

Apocalypse was a better movie then this one
The flaw In apocalypse is that apocalypse himself was not used properly, everything else was great

The usual Cyops is just Captain America but the mutant version of that..that's why he never was as mainstream as Magneto, Wolverine, and the villains.
