The fact that we're sitting here compared a Dark Phoenix and Captain Marvel trailer is an L for the X-Men.
The X-Men are (or were) Marvel's most popular team....Captain Marvel is a B-C tier character. The two should not be on equal footing from any angle, ever. Which brings me to my next point....
Its not that every MCU movie is great, because lord knows they've made some bad ones....but the expectations are a hell of a lot lower because it's B-Z tier characters. A Captain Marvel trailer can be
because....realistically, who the fukk expected a Captain Marvel movie in the first place?
A Dark Phoenix trailer on the other hand pretty much has to be GOAT tier due to the importance of that story arc....and this trailer ain't GOAT tier. shyt is pretty
