In reality though, they were fukking up the franchise from the very first movie. People were just so glad to see X-MEN so they overlooked it.

Sabertooth and Wolverine didn't know each other :mjlol:

Them black leather costumes :mjlol:

Rogue being wolverine's ward :mjlol:

Rogue getting the white strands in her hair from Magneto :mjlol:

Simon Kinberg is literally the W.O.A.T:snoop:

How can you call yourself a writer and not know the history of a character you're writing? :mjlol:

He gave us First Class and DOFP:whoa:

Psylocke knowledge isn't relevant to an X-Men movie,or being a great writer:comeon:.

But the people at Fox,just like DC don't seem to know much about fan service. Its not that hard to find out what both comic fans and casual mainstream fans love about characters and put that into a movie I don't think. And quite frankly not a single X-Men fan really gives a damn about Jean or saving her if there is not emotional gravity to the situation. Two movies in and there is none of that here, and not even any for the characters who are trying to save her. Last Stand sucked, but at least we cared about Wolverines motivations and would have cared about Scotts if they had built up his character at all in that series. Didn't care much about anybody in these films, much of that I will say just comes from knowing that this franchise is over as a whole. But with all that said this movie isn't nearly as bad as folks made it out to be,though I will admit maybe that comes from a lack of expectations, and knowing the franchise is over also.

One thing that always bugged with Fox Men films were the obvious wire work like they're stuck in the past using Hidden Dragon Crouching Tiger tech. Everybody flying in this movie floats around on a wire, shyt looks goofy af like Jean taking off like Superman while standing still :mjlol: when she should be taking off like this with flame effects added

Which makes perfect sense for them to chase the Phoenix Force right...seeing as how it destroyed their home planet :mjlol:

It's not that, it's the point that they used "generic alien race #1" from Getty Images that nobody gave a fukk about.

Reason why this is so fukking stupid is that out of most of the intellectual properties, the X-Men might have the GOAT alien race with the Shia'r. Why not use that? Or the creepy ass Brood race? Or the Technarchy (Warlock. Look him up.) who can even take human form if they wanted, which would fit right into Dark Phoenix's stupid ass story. Whoever wrote this shyt either doesn't know or doesn't care.

And it's not just fan boy rants here. I literally gave no fukks about the aliens, and them chasing the very thing that destroyed their planet, and even worse,t being able to harness the fukking Phoenix Force themselves, made no. fukking. sense.

fukk Fox.

I'm tempted to just link you to the Wikipedia page about the race of aliens they're based on but maybe you know already:manny:She's clearly able to absorb the Phoenix Force and would have if Scott didn't stop her. Professor X correctly guessed what she was gonna do afterwards. I haven't even said what I think of the movie yet, but when plot points are literally told to you through exposition, I'm not one of those people that's gonna play dumb cause it's the cool thing to do:manny:

You're named after an X-Men character, and in the paragraph I left out you state how silly it is that she would be able to absorb the Phoenix Force(I agree). So it seems you care about the source material. If you cared about the source material, you'd be cool with the alien race they chose because it's true to the source material. If anything, they made a mistake assuming a lot of people knew Dark Phoenix outside of the cartoon run, and they should have delved deeper into it's origins. Again, I haven't even given my opinion on the movie, but I'm gonna need nikkas to make up their minds whether they actually care about the source material or not.
