Not surprising. Yall know exactly why this is happening.

You harping on the 50% when the issue that is to make it scarier and add more characters. If they are KEY CHARACTERS to the entire film and NOT cameos, OF COURSE you have to reshoot to have them integrate seamlessly into the film! How ELSE would they do it?
You don't get forced to scrap a whole movie and basically start from scratch if it was a good movie to begin with. FF and JL used this same "reshoot" shyt and you see how they turned out.
If you turned in a project for work or school and they told you that 50% was not gonna work and needed fixing (not a rough draft but the finished product)....what does that say?
where did it say they SCRAPPED the whole thing? You making up shyt right now. It stated the test went GOOD. That what it said. It stated all they wanted is to make it scarier and add some characters. Nothing was stated it was SCRAPPED. You harp on 50% and not considering if they are adding MORE to the film, especially more characters that is KEY to the film and not mere cameos (what the article stated), then you HAVE to reshoot half the film for that to happen seamlessly. There's NOTHING that was stated they are starting from scratch.
Yeah, the director said that it will be the furthest the PG-13 rating has ever been pushed. But yeah, it is definitely PG-13. lolA film that supposed tested well needs more risk taking? Are they going full R-rated with this one too (I heard they still want to keep it strong PG-13)? With Logan and deadpool the suits really didn't meddle around so the reasoning seems questionable, and it doesn't seem like boone is too happy with the extensive re-shoots and additional characters either since he gave them a finished product. This just unfortunately screams FF (reboot) all over again.
Yeah ok breh. The director was happy with the product, studio wasn't.
No movie gets delayed for a year and gets 50% reshot and it's gonna be good. This ain't Titanic with James Cameron here.
If you made dinner and worked hard on it and came out like your guests said 50% of that shyt and was like wasn't shyt what does that say about what you cooked?
Gonna be a disaster

It's targeting to YA crowd so that's why they are keeping it PG-13.I was under the impression they were going for a R-rating. It wouldn't make sense to make it scarier if they want to maintain a PG-13. But I know this is hardly a FF reboot situation. That director himself was problematic and even the film crew stated he was over his head. The studio did not have any faith in him nor the film and for good reason.

Is Legion Rated R or something? It's on TV unless they show nudity or tons of blood it can still be PG-13.Yeaaaa. I cannot see how it could work. I was think it would go the Legion route and it'll be a mind trip.
They've showed some nudity, not much blood but people get killed in some pretty brutal ways.Is Legion Rated R or something? It's on TV unless they show nudity or tons of blood it can still be PG-13.

I mean you see who they chose as the Director. Soft stuff aimed at teens is like his specialty.Legion on FX is rated Mature which is equal to being rated-R. I cannot see the angle they heading for New Mutants and their emphasis of being like a horror flick and it be PG-13.
They just need to kill the shyt, recoup on a home release non cannon
