They should've just stuck with the 'That footage is unfinished' argument and cleared that shyt up. Doing this because of a leak you knew was going to happen (seriously, it's Comicon, every trailer gets recorded and leaked) seems asinine and stupid. Regardless, the end result is what matters and if Apocalypse looks good in the final movie, who gives a shyt what kind of demented journey it took for them to get it right, as long as they get it right.
Breh, I just got tired of seeing Ivan Ooze references for months. Beast in a leather hoodie is atleast kinda creative

Why did they release an official pic then with him looking exactly like he did in the footage? Because that's all they had at that point? Nah, those pics were released to a wider audience, thus implying that was going to be his final look.

And lol @ the bolded. This is the same studio that made Galactus into a cloud, turned Deadpool into a mute Baraka first time around and after three FF movies still haven't accomplished delivering a good looking Dr Doom.
Yeah after those Sony emails should anyone really be giving these studios the benefit of the doubt? They are just highly paid people that goof up more than you'd think. There is no logic in troting out an unfinished apoc as he is the main draw for the film. Everything at comic con gets leaked and circulation in a national magazine just confirms in people's minds that's what to expect. I'm hoping they weren't expecting the average American to pick up entertainment weekly and be like "this unfinished version of apoc looks amazing :gladbron: I'm definitely going to see this!"

Now like obarth said maybe he will transform from Ivan ooze to a better form. But if he is the better form throughout the film it'll be safe to say they definitely changed it after they got shytted on.

Other than the addition of white pupils, the design is still the same, it's just that in the leaked picture Apocalypse is being viewed from a lower angle/below the chin and the lighting in the scene is different.

I mean they did say Apocalypse was always going to be a cgi make-up hybrid so never tripped off the EW picture in the first place.

Link: X-Men: Apocalypse Synopsis Officially Released - ComingSoon.net

The official X-Men: Apocalypse synopsis has been released online!

20th Century Fox and Mars Chocolate North America announced a partnership today between M&M’S and the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse and even released a cute image of the Yellow and Green M&M’S as Magneto and Storm (which you can see below). Tucked away in their press release, however, is the actually interesting part, the X-Men: Apocalypse synopsis! It reads as follows:

“Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.”

In addition to Fassbender, McAvoy, Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult as Magneto, Professor X, Mystique, and Beast, the film will also see the return of Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Lucas Till as Havok and newcomers Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Olivia Munn as Psylocke and Lana Condor as Jubilee. Oscar Isaac is starring as the film’s title antagonist.

Said to be the conclusion of a trilogy started with X-Men: First Class and continued with X-Men: Days of Future Past, the Bryan Singer-directed X-Men: Apocalypse is set for release on May 27, 2016.
