:snoop:The more I read of how great the show was, the shyt reminds me of the episode of The SImpsons where everybody was hyping up The Itchy and Scratchy movie, while Bart had to take the L:sadbron:. Sadly, wrestling fans that couldn't attend the event weren't doing anything bad but be wrestling fans. I guess this is our punishment:mjcry:.

The homie Meek Man was like let's bring back Starrcade and profit off of the name, but only let those who put in peep this....... you can't make this shyt up. Seriously though they could have put this on the network and put that Goldberg 24/7 on hold real quick.

What's worse is the pro WWE fans on twitter trying to justify it not being on the network:scust:

Low key though..... the only reason the E even did this was probably to take some steam from this annual event in my hometown called WRESTLECADE.

https://www.wrestlecade.com/

For atleast the past 5 years or so in Winston-Salem, NC we have at our convention center this 3 day wrestling convention thing that brings in a lot of stars from the past and indies and people from all over the triad (and really where ever) travel to.

My boy that is an indie wrestler always goes to this himself to both wrestle when he can, network with other wrestlers, and sell his merch.

So it feels like its no secret that the E would book a house show just 30 mins away in another city (Greensboro, NC) at the same date and time then name it one of its more popular themed events to everyone in this region at the same historical venue its been before to kinda take its shine.

I still know more people in my hometown that stayed for Wrestlecade but my friends from Gboro were split and a few did go to Starcade. Will be interesting to see if the E continues to do this, cuz this the first time there has ever been a conflict. But low key, Wrestlecade has been pretty big down here and growing. Last year a bunch of the guys from LuchaUnderground and ROH was here and WWE guys like a Booker T normally come.

Not really pro WWE people. More like anti-"neckbeard" contrarians who don't believe anything that they say and don't really like wrestling.

Them vince russo/Kevin castle type motherfukkers who complain about the product being shyt but also complain about guys who are over with the smarks cause the smarks bytch even though they worse :mjlol:

I mean it makes sense financially. If this was on the network, they're probably not getting that amount of people in the seats, which is a legitimate concern to them and apparently to us because we make fun of them for it. You put this on the network, even if I'm living in Greensboro, I'm probably staying home and watching instead of fighting that traffic.

^^shouldn't be a houseshow....it's fukking Starrcade...lol.
Starrcade reportedly did great numbers for WWE over the weekend in terms of attendance. PWInsider reportsthat last night’s show did the best attendance numbers in a long time for the Greensboro, North Carolina market and it is believed that WWE will bring the event back next year.

Self hate is a trip. it's crazy because Vince has been on a mission to rekindle those vibes with the casuals who dipped out after the climax of the Monday night wars. Granted Starrcade was more geared towards the older crowd but it was still an entertaining show that could have ate off nostalgia subscriptions if aired. All I'm saying is this month War games and Starrcade are getting love while Survivor Series whole vibe got killed with that bs ending of Triple H being the sole survivor. Once again though, they are willing to put Brock Lesnar squash matches and a Triple H title defense on the Network as live event but not Starrcade.......stay woke
