Did we really need a full hour of Cena???.
You don't think it would be a weird ass oversight to not cover Cena's ascension during that era? I mean if they're covering that time period and the people who were main players, Cena's one of the 1st people I think about.
Don't need a full hour to do that & Cena has been the most coveted wrestler in the wwe over the last 15 years.
This isn't a cena documentary.
A lot of pieces that contributed to that era that deserve some spotlight.
I didn't say it was a Cena documentary...
However...
There are episodes devoted to certain people, same way they did the Attitude Era retro and had eps specifically on Austin, Rock, DX, Foley, etc...
So...
What is unlikely or strange about there being an episode on a guy who came up in that era and was their top star by the time it ended...
Just like there's a Brock episode coming next week...
???
Nah y’all missed out
Us 30 and up brehs truly blessed to have grown up during the GOAT era
The New Generation Era?Nah y’all missed out

I'm late seeing this but I'm definitely gonna watch. Really interesting era in retrospect. It's what got me back into wrestling after a bit of a hiatus. At the time, I was a bit sour on it because it wasn't the attitude era......but I gotta say, in retrospect, it's aged pretty well and was underappreciated.
I rather hear from those don't enough credit rather someone we already know the story to & a company that reminds us of it pretty frequently.
I still didn't think they needed an hour to explain something they've already touched on a thousand times.
Let us hear from somebody else for once.
The weird thing about the Cena doc is how little of the run they actually covered. They really pretty much just went with his debut, the initial start of the rapper gimmick, then skipped to WM 21, and after that only very briefly covered HHH and HBK WM feuds. Just completely skipped the feuds with Edge/Umaga/Angle/Eddie, the mainstream push outside of The Marine, how even after getting over with the new gimmick he still floundered throughout most of 2003 and even after the face turn he spent most of 2004 (he had a multi month feud with fukking Rene Dupree after WM 20).
They even tried to leave you with the impression that the reason the crowds turned on Cena was because HHH was just such a cool heel that everyone loved instead of that being the culmination of the revolt that had started by Summerslam 2005 that the crowd would cheer for HHH, who was the most hated dude in the industry for years at that point, over Cena.
Batista failed as the Deacon because they didn't give him shyt to do other than be out there other than D-Von
Its so stupid they give someone less than the bare minimum tell them to make it work and then shyt on them when it doesn't
