This is actually one of the better 'E website lists. Most of em' are pure fukkery, but this one was pretty on.

I'd probably put McMahon at #3 , but that anything beyond the top 5 or so is just noise anyway.

Foley was NOT a great champion. He was a joke really. His spot off the cage and getting punked out was all he really did. He had some promos that were decent inbetween that but that's it. "How do you learn to fall off a 20 FT Ladder?!"

Mankind didn't get autistic butts in seats.

He didn't get any butts in seats considering how he was a jobber champion and a fat fukk who pandered to the idiotic and overweight, slow rider.

Really breh?...Austin DEFINED the Attitude era...and this is NOT a debate...:birdman:

Considering he didn't get the highest ratings in Raw history and his highest number was against the Rock, it will always be a debate. McMahon does the "Jericho stoooge" thing as Hate calls it when he's on the outs with another star. Hogan being #20 or some shyt on the biggest stars list...Austin took his ball and went home in 2002 was what they promoted 10 years ago....they acted like Rock didn't exist until he came back in 2011. Thanks to his revised misson statement, it was Austin and DX at the top. That's how petty the old man gets. He'll learn how to Be a Star one day..

He may not have put butts in seats, and yes he was a transitional champion during all 3 of this reigns to say the least  but if you look at all the Raws in 98'-99' he was pretty over and was ALWAYS in the mix with the major players during that era, feuds, with Rock, Austin, Triple H, Undertaker, Big Show, Kane and he didn't look weak in comparisons to them during their feuds, not to mention he was good on the mic, that has to count for something :yeshrug:

Also, judging from ratings in 2012, CM Punk is exactly putting butts in seats, but wouldn't you still call him one of the MAJOR players in whatever you wanna call this terrible era of wrestling we live in??

Tony Shiavone should have been on this list. He had just about as much to do with the sucess of the Attitude Era as Foley. Same time Mick Foley is part of the most watched WWE clip ever and the highest segment in Raw history (with the Rock) hence his inclusion.

I hate lists like this, they are almost ALWAYS bullshyt.

APA on the list but no Godfather or Trish :comeon:

Godfather was getting bigger pops as a lower/mid card guy than Cena ever has. My uncle didn't even watch wrestling, but he always made sure he was glued to the T.V. whenever he heard Godfather's theme. :pachaha:

And regardless of what people think about Mick Foley, he was a MAJOR player and a very instrumental figure throughout the "Atittude Era" not on the same level as Rock or Austin, but that goes without saying.

I agree with you on Foley, Godfather and APA, but was not an icon of the Attitude Era. Sable, Chyna and Lita were bigger stars during their time on top than she ever was. :yeshrug:

Trish's time came much later after the AE ended.

She was a footnote at that point. Hot, but always second to Sable, Chyna and Lita who were the bigger stars at the time.

#1 and # 2 aren't up for debate at all IMO.

After that tho. shyt gets shaky as fukk in a hurry. i'd have actually tossed Vince at #3 . Without him to get sonned repeatedly by Austin in between his Rock classics. Who's to say where things woulda been

Meh, it creates debate so mission accomplished I guess.
