WWE Evolution 10.28.18 [All Women's PPV] Thread: Final Card Updated

Well, I joined the TheColi in late 2017 just before or around the time the first Women's Royal Rumble was announced and there was discussion for Women's Tag Titles.

It's an idea I hate and have always hated so I take every chance I can to take a shot at the idea.

Of course theres discussion, but its not something WE wanted. I suppose you can have Sasha/Bayley vs Charlotte/Becky for them at Evolution, and have the belts on all 3 brands, but no one expects them to keep it up logically for any amount of time.

A set of tag titles and one singles title instead of two would be good. The problem with this thing is that they spent all this time teasing and “building” a Sasha and Baylee feud on the main roster, and then they just toss it in the bushes with no payoff.

Yeah that sounds good in theory but there's no tag teams. And then when the Rumble comes around you'll have women tag teams in the rumble. The men's roster is so deep, there was only the New Day in the Men's Rumble IIRC.

I've always hated how tag teams exist in WWE to break up for solo runs. That would happen even moreso with the women.

It's an idea who's time has not come and needed to be brought along slowly first down in NXT. IMHO.

Sasha Bayley ended up tagging together, like Cesaro and Sheamus, and Wyatt and Matt Hardy. It's a trope in WWE these days.

In NXT, Asuka was also a dangerous competitor with an undefeated streak and destroyed almost everyone she competed against. Does that mean anything now?

It’s fine to go that angle, but there should at least be the payoff to the feud. Previous times they’ve stuck rivals together on a team, the feud has its peak at least before they go that route. The bar had their best of 7 series, Matt and Wyatt had the ultimate deletion, Angle and Benoit in 2002 had a well established feud the previous year and were being forced to tag together even though they didn’t want to to add depth to their feud which actually gave more weight to their title match a few months later at the royal rumble. It sounds like they just scrapped a feud they finally pulled the trigger on before it had the payoff. That just seems like them getting cold feet.

Should introduce tag titles. It'd give other women something to do while the others vie for the main championship.

I think the divisions are just big enough that this could work as long as women in tag teams also compete regularly for the single title.

Like on Raw, if Bayley and Sasha are a team, they should still be able to feud with Bliss whenever they aren't in the tag title picture. Don't do them like the men where teams only fight for the tag titles (unless you're The Shield).

Nah, I know exactly who said it, I just prefer to subpost. Attacking the idea, rather than certain users (who I actually like and appreciate) we just disagree here.

What they said should happen, is exactly what's happening.

Honestly I get Ronda vs Nikki. Ronda gets a solid W by going over a semi retired Nikki while keeping other fresh, potential feuds with full timers open.


But Trish vs Alexa? That’s only a dream match if they’re in bikinis or lingerie.
