They’re in desperate need of some house cleaning.

Shot in the dark here, but the best time for them to start releasing people & enforcing the 90-day non-compete is next week. They'd be able to trim their fat, not have to worry about them appearing at All Out. Plus there's enough time between All Out and when they are rumored to debut on TV that the buzz of a jump would die off.

There's also the fact that AEW would have to show interest in people being released.
