I think I posted this in the season thread before but

Guaranteed Contracts for next season are:

  • Bosh - $23,741,060
  • Dragic - $15,891,725
  • McRoberts - $ 5,782,450
  • Winslow -$ 2,593,440

Non Guaranteed Contracts

  • Richardson - $874,636
  • Weber - $874,636

Restricted Free Agents

  • Tyler Johnson
Unrestricted Free Agents

  • Wade
  • Whiteside
  • Deng
  • Haslem
  • Amare
  • Joe Johnson
  • Gerald Green
  • Dorel Wright
  • Udrih

Salary Cap is expected to be around 92 million

I believe the Heat can ONLY go over the cap when signing Tyler Johnson.
Wade opting out of his deal last year pretty much killed any pipe dream of Whiteside and Durant or any big name Free agent because they have to be able to fit his salary under the cap

with those numbers, it would difficult to even just bring back the same team, much less someone like Durant, Batum, etc and those guys were long shots anyway

I think Spo is going to need to utilize Winslow a bit different next season. he's a good playmaker...and should have the ball in his hands more next season. as opposed to being just a spot up and slasher guy.

good to read that JRich wants to work on his play making this off season. truth is, I think he's a 2 guard, not a point guard

:heh: at wade saying he's gonna work on his 3 this off season. we been asking for that for the last 6 years breh.

Yeah, I been looking over the info and the numbers so I haven't really seen much we can do.

Let's assume McRoberts is dealt for a 2nd rounder, Wright/UD sign vet minimum deals and we let Joe & Amare walk.

So now we're sitting somewhere between 42-47 mil available cap space for all FA's. If Wade, Whiteside take team friendly deals, I dont like to say discounts, we might be able to get someone like Ryan Anderson. Dragic/Wade/Winslow/Anderson/Whiteside wouldn't be a bad lineup. Fill out the roster with Stokes and similar vet signings as last summer, maybe Green. If they trade Dragic that opens up a lot of opportunities.

He's actually a great playmaker. He reminds me of Draymond really. He also needs to up his explosiveness a little.

team fought hard. injuries did them in 2 seasons in a row.
the off season is not going to be a fun 1. they aren't in a great position to make many team improving moves.
realistically

why in the world would the clippers do that? :russ:
well lets say air nonikkaz buys a clippers team tomorrow even though he aint got 2bil in bank account but lets say it happens, would he be interested in giving away one black man to get two white guys? I'm sure he would, plus mcroberts was "ballin" in charlotte :mjpls:

nikkas rightfully give mcbob shyt for passing up shots, but wade passed up multiple wide open 3s this season. hornets and raptors were sagging off him and daring him to shoot it and he finally let it fly. i don't think he'll be taking as many as he did back in 08-09 but shooting a couple a game in rhythm won't hurt and will force to play him honest.

best thing Joe Johnson did for us was get Wade to start shooting 3s with him.
amazing, we had Ray Allen, Mike Miller, Shane Battier, Mario Chalmers, James Jones all on the same team and it took Joe freakin' Johnson to get him to start shooting them again

I mean, actually I get him not shooting that many during the Big 3 era...but after that...

There have to be a way to clear Bosh's contract off the books and unload McRoberts out of the roster. If Bosh isn't going anywhere, let us hope that he recovered from his bloodclot and give us a superstar production. I'm eager to see if Pat can get rid of McRoberts. He is a liability, a dead weight that we don't need. And, Dragic has to work on his court vision. I have see him missed his teammates many times when they cut to the basket, and he forced a lot of bad passes that converted into pick six. All that cash that we spent on McRoberts, Bosh, and Dragic :stopitslime: and we didn't get any productivity from these players that them worthy of their contract.

out of all of them the only one you can say who somewhat earned his money is dragic. the best ability is availability and dragic was not only available, he also came through multiple times for us in the postseason.

that said, pat should definitely put a feeler out there to see what kind of offers he can get for dragic while his stock is somewhat high:myman:
