I still dont know Whiteside's ceilingDwight in Orlando was unreal on defense... he covered up for everybody on D
I can't see Whiteside ever reaching that level
Either way I was just looking at some recent teams to make a personnel comparison

So Whiteside would have to become prime Dwight Howard on defense to make up
wow just as I say it. Yeah they may as well have renamed it the Dwight Howard award he won it so many times in a row while covering for so many bad defenders.
Heat's Haslem creating jobs for low-income applicants in Miami
The priority at Miami Heat training camp has been helping indoctrinate the newcomers. But it is a community initiative to provide jobs for low-income workers that has power forward Udonis Haslem particularly enthused about what's about to happen back in South Florida.
Haslem on Friday announced a partnership with his restaurant operations, including planned openings of Einstein Bros. Bagels and Starbucks at Jackson Memorial Hospital, that will target unemployed job candidates from low-income families.
"It was an opportunity to provide for people that need the opportunity to work, people that might be from low-income homes, from my areas and neighborhood, Liberty City and different places like that that have good ideas, have good dreams, have the goals that they have for themselves but they really don't have a way to get to those goals and really don't have a way to achieve them," he said.
"So I provide these people with the opportunity to work, build character, build wealth and provide for their families and help put themselves though school, college, take care of their kids, or whatever the situation might be."
Haslem, who already operates multiple South Florida restaurant outlets, including Subway sandwich shops, agreed to a one-year, $4 million contract with the Heat in July.
"It's very important to me," he said of such civic-corporate ventures. "I never thought that I'd be in this situation that I'm in, but things just grew."
Wow people really don't give a fukk about the squad this year, damn near all of the games listed on StubHub are listed for under $40.
The Warriors; Bulls, Knicks, and Cavs games are the only $100+ tix games.
Y'all Miami brehs should feast off these cheap tickets. Sure the team will be below average, but the Heat will be entertaining. The offense will likely be more up tempo, Whiteside will have more touches, and Winslow/JRich will continue to develop.

I'm lucky I won't even be tempted to watch this season being up here now. If none of the games against the Knicks or nets are nationally televised, that gives a total of 13 heat games I would be able to watch this season, and I'm not looking to spend money to see a lineup this bad and especially not in a game against the Knicks or nets. This offense is gonna unprecedented levels of . Waiters, Wayne Ellington, Luke Babbit, Derrick Williams, at the moment Winslow still has to prove he's got value on offense. I don't even want to think what this team will look like if Whiteside misses any stretches of games.I'll shell out the money to see my 2 Gawd but I ain't be buying game tickets to see Dion Waiters and Luke Babbit trot out.
I'll just catch the non-Wade heat games in the comfort of my crib where Hennessy and rum can ease the pain.

His form appears to be much improved, we'll see if it translates to the games but it looks like his offseason work with the Heat's shooting coach has paid off. He also looks like he has dropped a few lbs which should help his explosiveness I thought he was too bulky at times last yearWinslow still has to prove he's got value on offense.
The good thing about Miami, tbh is that it's a place ppl want to be.
We may not be in good with th 03-05 class of players, but the younger ones don't care
Do we think Richardson has that kinda potential? I like his energy on defense, but he doesn't do much as a ball handler.I've learned over the past couple of years that this is probably the most over exaggerated thing in Miami sports.
A toxic front office or poor talent will kill that in an instant.
Look how well attracting free agents has worked out for the Dolphins, especially when Jeff Ireland was here.
LA is supposed to be another place that players want to be in. NY is another. They've struggled in free agency for years now.
If we want to attract free agents, we don't even need to wait another generation for young players to forget how the Heat treated Wade. If Justice Winslow, Josh Richardson, or Hassan Whiteside take the next step and become superstar players, people will come. Living in Miami will just be one of the perks.
