This album ends so poorly. The last 3 songs on Disc 2 starting with "Black Shampoo" just make me go :mindblown:

You've got a trash U God song, some chicken wailing over a drumless sample for a few minutes, then Raekwon talking some shyt followed by the sound of a helicopter.

Its the most anti climatic ending ever to an album that had some amazing songs on it.

I disagree...I don’t think it was the beginning of the end;
I think it was the confirmation of the end.

it could be alot deeper than that......digital processing was about to become the norm, and the people who decided that are probably so powerful that they make dudes like iovine and dre look like fukkin peons. Rza might not have even had a choice. I dont wanna turn this into one of those threads tho

this is closer to how he describes it in the Wu Manual. Not that he didn’t have a choice or execs were making him do anything but the pro tools digital recording era was beginning and RZA had been buying up all kinds of equipment. New equipment + floods that destroyed a lot of his old beats + RZA being the type of guy he is, constantly looking ahead and wanting to move forward with styles and sounds. They recorded in a different studio, different location. After this they all wanted to branch out and try to do their own thing which was the plan all along, let RZA have control for 5 years and then if they wanted to go, they can go.

I ask again, what is the so called crazy filler on this album. Black Shampoo yes. Second Coming…sure although I fukk with weird RZA shyt like that. Outside of that where is the filler?
:yeshrug:

First disc is damn near flawless. Second disc damn near flawless until the end.
There is no filler on this album, the intro which is an insight to the 5 percent nation, to the outro of Tekitha singing....shyt is flawless. Black shampoo is dope as well.

You gotta be the only person in the world who likes "Black Shampoo" :stopitslime:

The intro and Tekitha are straight skips everytime as well.

Other than that the album is definitely a classic.
