I'll say this, it was their most successful attempt at trying to recreate the 36 Chambers sound to me. It's definitely got some great songs on it

Millionaire feat, whole family eat; yo, y'all nikkas is weak
Got a bird beak, chirp chirp speak

:wow:

And then you got songs like Conditioner or Clap :francis:

Conditioner and Clap are the two weakest songs, imo, but neither one is that bad. And the other songs range from dope to terrific.

that 36 education, they helped raise this breh :mjcry:

I didn't know how BIG the Wu-Tang was until I got to the States though. This was the only video of theirs I ever saw growing up I think. I couldn't know how much their lyrics influenced Hip-Hop as a whole because all I knew were the videos.

Rza created this song with Aaliyah in mind (for the hook and in the video), but she turned them down. Rumor has it that Timberland and her peoples convinced her it wasnt a good idea because the WU was yesterday's news at the time. Aaliyah being on GP would have changed the whole complexion and quality of the song, no doubt. I still like it tho.

:ohhh:

Never knew that.

Actually I need to clarify, I like all the verses. I hate that beat though. I'm not even sure why.

One thing related to this album I always wanted to find was a behind the scenes video of the recording of The W that played on Heavy.com back when which played many of the beats of songs that didn't make it in the background as Gee Bee interviewed the Clan. It's one of those rare things that hasn't popped back up on the internet.
