So masta killa wasn't considered a core member until later huh? No credit for non core members divine said. Wish they woulda had some killer bee cameos at that party

And dave east cant even mimmick method man correctly. Idk how hard it was to just copy meths flow on a song but his flow is so wooden it sounds like shyt compared to the real versions. Guy cant act for shyt and i was really looking forward to seeing tical get made in real time.


As we see on the show. The only people really “working” at this point are rza vine and power. Rest are living it up. I always thought how they treated divine was bullshyt. Without the wu brand, they all get shyt. There is no 500k for gza. No 400 for rae.

Im suprised gza got 500, rae got 400. Meth got 200 and odb got 150.

I assume that was only advances and in the end prolly helped meth more than hurt but idk.

I would ASSUME (No proof) that GZA got 500K because he had already put out an album before so perhaps the label thought he was a bit more marketable.

Divine was closing ALL the deals early on so he deserved that 10%.

RZA did ALL the production so he deserved the points. I wasn’t aware that a portion of his earnings wasn’t being kicked back into Wu-Tang Productions, that IS shady but in real life RZA has said ALL of them were having a cut going back to the company and RZA hasn’t been caught lying yet.

If I was RZA i’d be giving a cut of my artist royalties back to the company like the other group members but i’d be keeping 100% of the production points. Justification would be because RZA, more than anyone, sacrificed those early Wu glory years getting those albums done. Its canon that the rest of the group were living it up having a good time in the Wu mansion while RZA was holed up in the studio making beats and putting those albums together. Not only the production, but the mastering, sequencing, even the writing (for ODB) was RZA. Also keep in mind the music videos, artwork, marketing, and even the outfits (before Wu-Wear) was 80% RZA. That man did it ALL making that five year plan a reality while Ghost was out whopping nikkas asses, ODB was doing every drug known to man, Raekwon was fukking mad bytches, Meth was winning Grammys, and U-God was being an iced out Oscar The Grouch

To be fair Ghost wasn't just out whopping asses... he was puttign in work to finance things and allow RZA to be locked away. It's the reason Dennis Coles had executive producer credits

RZA in real life interviews has been adamant that everyone on 36 is the Wu-Tang. Maybe they worked that part out later since he wasn’t from Shaolin and wasn’t family.

Yea i always believed that he got officially slotted in like 95. Cause even in method man, hes not named. He was added after they signed with loud already. All the 36 interviews they dont even name em. He was the silent assassin not even listed until snakes verse.

I remember being a kid and not understanding if he wqs a member or not til like 96.

I went back and saw that line you were referencing. It was when Divine was giving U-God and GZA the credit card lines.

I guess they’re lining up Masta Killa as GZA’s right hand and he’ll be officially incorporated into the group during the tour run

Yea MKs WuTang origin is kinda confusing.

But he too was on ET36C album….. and on the intro of a song Rza drops his name with everyone else in the group.
