You saw the interview when RZA alluded that Meth called him out. He said "This ninja over here making a sandwich on stage." Then said, GZA might be the one over there making a sandwich.

But the fact that they have a problem with EVERYTHING each other do, then just let GZA slide is absurd to me. So how much you really get off ya chest? They've argued with MK before, and he doesn't do ish but mind his own business, and pop up to support whatever they have going on. The only person I've ever heard say things about GZA is RZA, then he makes sure to say, that he can't say anything about it though. Even in this ep, Divine got Geffen damn near banging down his front door, but GZA playing chess with a move a day LOL. You know they be mad though, on some "why we gotta be here if he ain't here." I'm sure they were pissed when they found out GZA never signed the contract too. They don't say ish about Power either, though. Rae's book was the first time anyone went vocal about him. It's usually "Power is Power"

They definitely don't take him as a sage, they just don't voice their frustrations with him as much, if at all. They probably just direct it towards RZA & Divine.
that's not true, U-God put Power and Divine on blast, also most of their financial grievances is directed at both Power and Divine.

In his book. And when he was asked about it specifically, he said "That's Power's ish...we don't mess with Power ish." No one has ever come out and said Power - not Ghost, not Meth, not any of the others. Every problem they have they say Divine or RZA. RZA would say that someone has a suit against the company, or they would say they don't like how the executives of the company handle it, say RZA and/or Divine, but completely omit Power's name. I'm talking in real time. The casual audience didn't even know there was a Power until Black & White. And even around that time, the Clan would say "Power did that. He got all those people together. That's all Power."

I'm pretty confident a lot of those convos happened. How TF them ninjas have the nerve to sue after the ish they were pulling? Dirty mad he can't get money like that to go do whatever...Ghost suing for 200K...Uey suing 3x...Rae talking about they burned him in his book, after numerous times on camera saying they never took anything from him, and he got what he was owed.

I love the Clan. They're my favorite group of all-time. Under anyone else, they would've broken up by '96.

I'm surprised Randy/Terrance hasn't made an appearance again, or Sin or even Shy. But there was a Buddah Monk name drop.
at the end of the day, they were just dysfunctional and to a certain degree never grew out of that, in U-God's book he said Divine did him dirty, he sued, they settled and at the end of the day it was no hard feelings, just business. Golden Arms and Divine went to school together and had a hustler mentality, they understood business, with some of the others they just street nikkas at the end of the day. No different than being a hustler from a gang in LA and other dudes are just gang bangers, 1. is focused on money the others are focused on simple street tactics. That being said I think the revolving theme is, RZA/Power/Divine felt like the group had a lot of talent and potential but probably thought they couldn't be reasoned with, with money. That maybe true but you can just jerk around grown men and not offer an explanation on certain things, now the other group members could've been more vocal and read the fine print but I don't think they would've lasted more than 1 album or if 36 chambers would've been completed, it was better in a musical sense to keep them in the dark and let Divine and Power handle things.

This episode is exactly why I’ve turned down the opportunity to get involved in artist management twice. I would have caught a case if I had to deal with half the petulance that Divine had to deal with :mjlol:
Breh going thru it :russ:

I appreciate this episode from Divine’s point of view cause that shyt seems stressful on his end and then after all that I’m sure the artists be like “why he getting a cut like that?” I’m assuming this season is mainly about some of the lesser known members and parts of Wu Tang. I’ve seen Method Man in literally one 3-5 minute scene all season, Feels like RZA hasn’t really been a big part of the last few episodes.

And to add to this, during his last Breakfast Club interview Uey put mad respect on Power's name. Said Power always kept it 100 with the Clan, that's why I thought it was a nice touch to have Power be the one to console/council U-God during the episode when his son got shot. :ehh:
