I always thought Divine caught too much hate. Sure the show is just one person's POV but even in the MIcs and Men doc when they went into how he handled stuff, it always made sense he was considering costs. 9 people plus affiliates shyt wasnt eas to control and none of them dudes had business acumen like that to know what its like t make shyt happen

Its the classic workers watching what the boss brings in... I used to debate with girls all the time clocking what i make because i owned a business and 4 houses... i had to check em... All you see is what I make, you dont care about my expenses.

I haven’t watched the latest episode yet but I see it’s another allegory episode. Interesting choice this season to spend full episodes on various WuTangs albums. I’m not sure if it’s filler or genius because outside of those pretty much the whole season is from the Wu Mansion and not many scenes with the whole crew together. I’ll check back in after I peep this latest episode

Liquid Swords made me a sucker for anything Lone Wolf and Cub related, so this ep is right up my alley.

The 'Cold World', 'Gold' and 'Investigative Reports' loops as the score was a nice touch.

The fairground from Fantasy being a metaphor for mainstream acceptance was :leon:

I like how they weaved in the other classic film references too:

The list with the Wu members names felt like it was a nod to Kill Bill

Shurrie doing the DJ bit from 'The Warriors'.

Gibbs stopped talking shyt long enough to be in this? :skip:

Sunz Of Man and Killarmy referenced too?

Rae in the Snow Beach is iconic, no matter how you present it :wow:

The loop from '4th Chamber' being the signal. :banderas:

"Why is the sky blue? :jbhmm: Why is water wet? :ohhh: Why did Judas rat to Romans while Jesus slept?:unimpressed: "

Even the artwork from 'A Better Tomorrow' gets an Easter egg. The reference to the Liquid Swords artwork was :wow:

RZA being :francis: at the end says a lot too....

In the beginning of the ep when they reference the sample at the end of Duel of the Iron Mic "at the height of their fame and glory, they turned on one another..."
I always wondered why GZA put that in there, because in 95 (or 94 when it was most likely recorded) Wu was still united and the beefs hadn't become public knowledge yet
But he saw where things were going and this ep confirmed it as far as his vision "this might be the last solo joint that features the whole Clan"
Dope ep. 2 more and that's all she wrote.
So far, Divine and RZA are disgusted and disappointed. RZA heading to Hollywood to work on Ghost Dog and Divine to Marina del Rey to chill on his boat and away from these ungrateful fukks
Wonder if we'll get the Ghost and Divine argument "I want the full million!"
