That was Kim? My dumbass thought it was Charli Baltimore…

Could have been - and I know how they get down with the casting on this show, but, to me - skin tone alone never even brought Charli to mind :leon:

Really disappointed with the episode I would of loved more studio type footage for each song even something for ice cream

yeah I wish they would’ve kept it more realistic and focused on how some of the recording sessions actually went like how they did in season one with the making of most of the songs on the first album…it made sense for them to go the direction they did with the ODB ep even tho the execution wasn’t good imo but if they’re gonna do this for every album release then the liquid swords ep that’s rumored is gonna be another snoozefest

I loved this episode. Who really wants a beat for beat generic making of type sequence that fills the episode? I love the allegorical episodes that break down the mindset behind the albums. There were so many Easter eggs. And if you're paying attention, the album was the score to the episodes - tracks giving the mood and plot points of the scenes.

Hell, it's the Wu. The sprinkled science, religion, pop culture, comic books, 60s & 70s music, cartoons and Kung Fu flicks in building their mythology. Why would the show be run-of-the-mill?
Exactly. Everyone’s favorite scene last season was the Rae and Ghost shootout. They leaned into it creatively to really get down the essence of these albums. ODBs episode was crazy and out there but so was that nikka.

I took it as Kim especially when she made the comment about him shytting on her since he talked about a girl wanting him to shyt on her on the Nasty Boy song that featured Kim.
Good call. My son was distracting me during that scene and didn’t make that connection at all. Gonna watch again this weekend.

This was more entertaining than the ODB episode and I loved all the nods to OBCL and the cameos but wanted to hear more about the growing pains of increased fame. The jealousies and all the beefs. It's so much story to be told to be wasting episodes like this. If the show was continuing past the season I'd be totally cool with these types of episodes.

It was an overall great episode.

The actor looked absolutely NOTHING like Nas besides the mole. They didn’t even give him the half moon Caesar!

But I enjoyed the shot at Biggie for shark biting Nas lol

The Big L, Fat Joe, and Biggie cameos were dope but did Biggie EVER have a beard?!?!

The best part was how they incorporated the music into the episode. That was Grade A

I met Ghost, Rae, Deck, Cap, and KillaArmy when they came to A&T years ago.

IsLord (of Killarmy) was SHOCKED that I knew who he was and was chopping it up with him when he was standing to the side why the crowd was naturally surrounding Ghost and Rae.

He was up introducing me to Ghost later!

I was an extremely huge WuTang fan back then and had the albums of ever member and their affiliates. So in the parking lot when I went to my car and started blasting Wake Up

Dude was shocked like :gladbron::gladbron::gladbron::leon::blessed:

He probably walked away from that trip like “well I know I atleast got 1 fan”

I've met Raekwon, Ghost, Cappa, U-God and Shyheim. Rae, Ghost and Cappa we caught them in a back alley leaving after a concert and dapped it up and kept it moving.

Shyheim we bumped into after his and U-God's concert was cancelled due to not selling enough tickets and him and his crew was looking for somewhere to party. We took em to a local club where Shyheim was wilding out. Bouncers kept getting at him cause he was trying to strip down in the club. After he was going girl to girl telling em who he was and was getting no play at all. shyt was kind of comical but they was mad cool.

Then U-God we peeped eating at Jimmy John's after all that. We dapped him up and gave props on the album. As we was leaving we saw him leaving with a straight dime carrying an umbrella for him cause it was raining. We started blasting "Stay In Ya Lane" off his album as we drove past with the windows down and he got a big ass smile on his face and saluted us.

But they did talk about it, just in the different way. That's what the dialog was about.
