Excellent episode! Dude who plays Deck has been great. When Deck dropped this soundtrack joint in '95 I was so hyped to hear his solo debut.

Then the RZA Flood happened :mjcry: By the time Uncontrolled Substance came out 2 years later the album was :unimpressed:

Really enjoyable series so far, not always the greatest acting but seeing the mix of the Clan's diverse personalities is a real trip.

uncontrolled substance was decent, but I really wondered what could have been if he had gotten a 1995 all rza produced album. he really got fukked over the most by that flood.

this was my favorite episode so far. It took me back to my teenage years. Senior year in high school. I remember the day I bought Return to the 36 chambers. I got it on a Sunday, the week after it dropped. This was a day before Arkansas played UCLA in the championship game. I didn't listen to it until that Tuesday morning due to getting sick and I stayed out of school that day. Instantly, "snakes" was my favorite song on the album. Still to this day it's one of my top 5 favorite Wu songs. A month or so later, I buy the Tales from the HOod soundtrack(and I still have the copies of these cds I bought back then). It's a film I was anticipating and I see that Wu and ODB has songs on it. "let me at em" is the Wu joint and it's the first song on the cd, but Deck is the only one rapping. On top of that, I read the credits and it says that Deck produced it. I'm thinking at the time it must have been a typo. Then he produces "visions" on Wutang Forever.. After that, he produces 2 tracks on Meth's 2nd album and Kanye uses one the sample he flipped on"spazzola" for Slum village's "selfish" years after that. Then he does my favorite track on Gza's 3rd album(beneath the surface). After all of that, his album finally drops and goes nowhere. "lovin you", produced by True Master, is my favorite track from that album. Yeah man, Deck got a raw deal in hip hop. It's crazy. I'm glad to see he's had success with Czarface though.

Also, why the fukk is Uncontrollable Substance cd so high? That shyt is selling for $30+ used online. the same way with De la soul cds. Those shyts are going for $40-50 used right now.

This was a good ep for the simple fact of creating a story around a better tomorrow thru the lesser members.

I just got to the biggie part. The hate was so funny. Lmao.

Show ends with dirty storming grammys imo

Ive been to the actual wu wear store. Power was quite amused i knew who he was as he never was really in public except for those 2 years in 98/99 doing Belly and Black & White. I shoulda known he was in there but I didnt think hed actually be manning the shop lol. A story for another day.

The problem is the album done, but they still would've had to shop him for a label though. I think he jumped the gun on signing with Loud. If he signs with Razor Sharp, I think RZA does his album and gets him a release right before Ghost in '96

bruh lol

I can’t remember the verse now but I never noticed it when the album dropped as many times as I listened to it…but I was listening to it like a year or two ago and I caught it after just one listen
And you know what... listening to Shimmy, Shimmy and it's not even 3 real different verses ...

I didn't like uncontrolled substance, I was very excited for it, got it the day it came out after only hearing Rec Room and the first single he had on BET...but what a let down on all fronts. Deck was my favorite in the Wu up to that point, after that it's been ghost and ghost ever since.
