I really hope they recreate the limo ride on OB4CL where ghost has the iconic line about Wally’s “Blue and Cream” that simple phrase changed hiphop. Nobody was rapping or speaking with such descriptive phrasing until Ghost. That shyt really was like a superpower.

Damn I’m not sure how accurate this show really is, but rza is a saint if this is all true.. dude had to deal with so many egos, magazines lying on him and starting beef, make all the beats, help with the business side of things, and on top of that had to watch his baby sister get dogged out by ghost every night and couldn’t do anything about that but :to: and make more beats for him for ironman..

:patrice: I think I know why ironman’s production wasn’t as good as liquid swords, ob4cl, etc now :pachaha:
wow, that's what you're taking from this? i'm getting control freak who definitely started taking too many liberties with the decision making....i'm not a wu fan at all, so all of this is new to me and i know from articles a lot of stuff is fiction in this show, but i am seeing how RZA got to a place where most them dudes ended up beefing with or mad at him at some point

In real life Ghost didn’t get with RZA’s sister until later on. They basically replaced Ghost’s first son Sun God with Infinite, who was born years later.

Also RZA and Ghost were super close at one point. The beats on IronMan had nothing to do with any beef between them. Matter of fact this might be the first time i’ve EVER heard anyone say that Iron Man’s production was lacking. Iron Man, production wise is better than Tical and Liquid Swords in MY opinion (not stating it as gospel)

RZA was upfront with everyone from the beginning that he needed control in order to bring the vision to life. According to all the real life surviving members this is a true story and they all agreed to it. I think what the series, especially the back half of season 2 does well, is show the intelligence and genius of what RZA was attempting to accomplish. It was RZA who brought them all together, RZA who made ALL the beats on the first SIX albums, RZA who masterminded the deal that all the members could sign solo albums with different labels, RZA who (alongside GZA) wrote the majority of the lyrics for ODB’s first two albums, and RZA who was the creative director of most of the videos and early marketing materials.

These are all corroborated from the real life members of Wu-Tang.

If a man tells you what it is from the beginning and you agree to it, and that deal sets you up on the path to fame and fortune, i’m not too keen on complaining and bytching about it later on. Thats not to say that RZA was perfect or didn’t make any mistakes. But there’s also a reason that besides Ghost, Rae and Meth; RZA is the most successful and seemingly stable of the group. And despite Rae and Ghost’s criticisms, RZA continues to be a sought after producer and musician in present day.

RZA paid the cost to be the boss

IMO, here's what the other members felt...

I gave you 5 years.. We got signed now let me do me but i'll stay cool with you.
I gave you 5 years but i had a vision before you and i want to fulfill my vision.

You dont have enough time to work on ALL of our stuff ... and damn. you just lost my stuff in a flood.. You gonna do him first before me.. but you already started mine... Meanwhile RZA is probably depressed about the flood and (being a producer myself) he's not in "mood" to do those types of beats that he lost

Appreciate the knowledge bruh.. and nah ironman is my favorite ghost album and I personally like ironman better than liquid swords and tical.. but by the time ironman came out, rza's beats started getting more polished and losing that dusted off sound that I fukked with on the earlier releases.. dusted off grimy beats like "raw hide" and "what the blood clot", ironman was lacking in that department, but still a :fire: album fasho..

1000%.. In interviews some clan members said that dirty was actually the glue that kept the group together within those first few years with his antics and humor and you can kinda see that play out in the show.. he was always clowning around but you can see that the clan members loved him and respected him..

ghost, meth, and rae have intense personalities on the show, but even they crack jokes and kick it with odb, and when they get into confrontations, a lot of times its dirty who would crack a joke and lighten up the mood.. I love dirty, but he didn't write his own rhymes, was always getting in trouble, and as the show stated didn't even remember his rhymes during live performances :russ: so I always wondered why the other clan members love him so much considering their personalities, but after watching this show I get it!

He didnt write all... he did write... I know he was goofing off and lazy and wasted time and was not gonna make the deadline so rza and gza wrote some for him.. Hell, he even spit the same verse on 2 different songs...

RZA was the brains that made the group and kept them around but Dirty was the glue that made them all stick. He made them not remember they didnt they like each other
