Method Man literally said that Ghost and Rae would look at their mother’s Thanksgiving Turkey like “The fukk is this bullshyt??!!?”
I read a few articles back in the day and dudes would be like "them n!ggas don't like anything", especially when other members would get asked about the Biggie ish. I think that's what sparked that Meth response. There's so many interviews, and there was one Meth was asked about it, and he said "Yeah, but they haters anyway."

Deck really gets the short end of life. The flood, plus he didn't have a solo deal inked until like '96/'97. There was no real reason to put out Rae before Deck, other than Rae had already signed with Loud. They were both on the biggest single CREAM, so that trajectory would've carried both. Of course, once Rae dropped Cuban Linx, Ghost being the costar catapults him into being up next...and 5 albums in 2-3 years is a lot.

How things turn out for Deck, and the rest of the Clan if he drops in that first wave.
I would love to explore this timeline.

I wonder where Deck would’ve dropped? Would he drop after Dirty but before Rae?

I wish episode 3 showed how odb and true master produced Brooklyn zoo.. that was the best beat and the biggest hit from the album and I always wondered how odb produced it himself and I guess ill continue too..
I told the Brooklyn Zoo lyrics backstory in a thread on here many many years ago .. think it was the Ohio RZA thread

listen to the song and the adlibs after you read this..

So the song is about the dude that shot him in the stomach. It was point blank but the gun jammed and he got shot in the stomach..

If all comes from "shame on you when you step through to, the old dirty b*stard straight from the brooklyn zoo.."
A guy named Brooklyn Zoo took offense and stepped to ODB... I only remember "you not brooklyn zoo, im brooklyn zoo" (not telling you how i remember or know about the actual words) ... Gun jams, ODB gets shot in stomach ... just for the record brooklyn Zu is no longer here..

Now.. listen to the song, lyrics and adlibs and he is telling the story.. notice on the chorus he doesnt say "from the" its just shame on you when you step to ODB ... brooklyn zu..
thats why he never been tooken out by a nikka who cant pull the trigger (it jammed)..

the rest you can make out listening to the song

edit: crazy, i almost told the same story verbatim 7 years ago
edit: thought it was the rza ohio thread, it was rap beef thread

That would be the most feasible time...a May release in '95. Or, perhaps right after GZA, in 1st quarter '96. He was on Tales from Hood & High School High soundtracks, so mid-95 through early-96 would've been perfect for him. Anything later than that, and it turns out the same for him as far as being high profiled.

Damn I’m not sure how accurate this show really is, but rza is a saint if this is all true.. dude had to deal with so many egos, magazines lying on him and starting beef, make all the beats, help with the business side of things, and on top of that had to watch his baby sister get dogged out by ghost every night and couldn’t do anything about that but :to: and make more beats for him for ironman..

:patrice: I think I know why ironman’s production wasn’t as good as liquid swords, ob4cl, etc now :pachaha:

Appreciate that fam.. I’m guessing that since odb loved his songs to have a lot of bass, that odb did the drums on that song while true master did the piano loop..

The contrast between the story of why odb made this song and his confidence in making it and his vh1 documentary right before he died is crazy.. in his vh1 documentary, he talked about how he was always getting into fights in jail and how it broke him and how he was sad that no from the wu came to visit him.. fame was a blessing and a curse for him for real, I hope he’s at peace..
