RZA should focus some time to creating another group, with younger/hungrier emcees committed to work on the full scale. I doubt it would exceed the classics, but i bet some dope music would come out of it :manny:

You don't think RZA's ego is a problem here?

You can be the "leader" and still listen to where everyone is coming from and actually encourage feedback and argument..From Ghostface to cats like U-God...And if there is a disagreement, explain yourself rationally while encouraging feedback

nikkas might actually care to make it work because they feel that they are actually apart of something

He is a dictator and that makes nikkas resent him...

How is it that RZA didn't even let nikkas hear the album until he was done with it??

What kind of shyt is that??

All of that dictator shyt only works on young nikkas and nikkas who are still in awe of being around the RZA...

yeah his ego is a problem/gift&curse, that's one reason he needs to look into developing another group/talent, green on the experience side of things. His brothers in the clan are well in their ways now, those birds were taught and let loose to fly/developed egos of their own even.

It has always been that way. They've never heard ANY of their classic albums until they were finished and submitted. They all have told numerous stories how they recorded to one beat and when they heard the final product, it was different. This was for everything.

He also listens to their feedback, but then they want him to make it happen. So when they don't step up, they force his hand. I think RZA did everything that he could to adhere to their requests on this one, and the product is of great quality. Dudes just angry because they don't make any money of Wu albums.

If Meth and Ghost want to call this "rza's album" let's keep it real deal holyfield all the way through.

Enter the Wu - Rza's album
Tical - Rza's album
Dirty Version - Rza's album etc.

Rza spent three years in a dusty basement making thise albums while dudes were getting more amd more famous by dropping their verses from time to time. When Ghost sued Rza for royalties it came out that Rza spent at least 50x more manhours on Supreme Clientele/Ironman (And other ghost/rza joints in between) than Ghost did, which is why the judge lowered the amount that Ghost was owed by more than half of the original claim.

I'm not saying Rza shouldnt get any blame or these dudes are all the way wrong, but its easy to shyt on Rza now that they don't need him to sustain their careers anymore.

He has always been the dictator, he had them battling for spots on a track. He gave Meth and Gza their own tracks on the first album. He gave Masta Killa his shot when Priest was sleeping through recording. He gave u-god his few verses on the first few albums while he was in and out of jail. He gave Ghost the highest priority after he came out of jail (led to Supreme Clientele) etc.

If we're going to shyt on him more than the 9 other dudes now for his vision, lets praise him more than the other 9 dudes for the first Wu decade (including the cabdriver in my count, saw a comment from dude that "he didnt want to do this album").

The track record can only be referenced for so long..Imo RZA isn't really into the hip hop scene like that anymore..Raekwon acknowledged RZA's history, but I think his overall point is RZA isn't in the game to the point where he can dictate the WU on a successful level musically..

What worked in 97 isn't guaranteed to work in 2013...People change as well as personalities...:yeshrug:

Now did Rae have other motives?? I don't doubt it for a second..But he was right in some ways as well..

I said that weeks ago breh and I still believe it. If you're the one person on board with the direction of the album then maybe you should change directions. If you want the best chemistry and the best product, you gotta let dudes feel like their input matters and that they're contributing.

And that makes sense; however the only one of them with that type of input for quality is Ghost. Rae throws his name in with whatever. And his only successful projects have had RZA attached. Then it also has to work for everyone. You have to musically be able to include Deck, Masta Killa, U-God, motivate GZA...In my opinion Rae would've had a better argument had he been there from the start. Dude wouldn't even jump on board without the finances being right. The album was damn near done before he came in.

As for what works, I think this album came out better than 8 Diagrams. I really enjoy this album. The Clan also haven't really changed that much. They have somewhat bigger egos, but their attitudes of shyttin on each other, each other's projects and complaining will always be there. They are who they are. RZA is the only one that would actually put up with them; no other Exec producer or producer, period, is gonna take that from 8 folk.

In my opinion, the ONLY thing keeping this album from being herald is their lack of promotion and interest. And no one buys their individual projects either.

This is a good album. Not great, but good. Keep Watch, Ruckus in B Minor, A Better Tomorrow and Necklace are the standout cuts. Some of the beat switches didn't work for me on other tracks. Gonna keep it in rotation for a while.

I Don't get the hate for Miracle.
How is it not an updated version of 'Rainy Days'

Never heard anybody complain about the Rainy Days intro...that shyt was a movie.

So is Miracle

There's a lot garbage on this album, but RZA did his thing tho.

After letting it sink in, I really like this album. More than 8 diagrams. There's no one on the album I think was weak, but Meth was my favorite on the album with Ghost a close second.

Wearing the beanie right now. Should have ordered an XL hoodie. Still cant wait for the LP to ship.
