So after enough deliberation, here my Top Wu albums in order:

36 Chambers
Forever
W
A Better Tomorrow
8 Diagram
Iron Flag
:obama:

...everytime I listen to ABT I pick up something new, like the multiple time signatures in RZA's production:mindblown:

I gotta say I'm warming up to this album a little still sucks though. I thought I'd never say it but I never want another wu album again. Just stick to the solos I've got all those great memories that I can go back to when ever I want. I don't need new forced albums when the magic and desires been gone. Rza is the greatest hip hop producer of all time but maybe he just emptied his gas tank building that resume because to me he's been pretty clueless for awhile.

I wouldn't say the gas tank is empty at all breh, he just has his own vision as to where he wants to take his sound and his style which isn't really a bad thing but it also may not match with what everyone wants or expects

'Pioneer The Frontier' shows Rza can still make vintage Wu beats. Not sure why he won't consistently. I think Adrian Younge is having a negative impact on a few legendary Producers. Not that he's wack, just overrated.

the only thing i dont get, if sampling is what took money out their pockets all these years, and rza taking a 500k hit to have people replay in big studios, JUST SAMPLE! I need one more rza sample classic.

Or, if he wants to use musicians, pay them for the recording sessions and then sample and flip those session versions into hip-hop beats rather than just cover the original. RZA records these musicians pretty much as a live band performance instead of chopping up the live session the same way he'd chop up & use samples.
