I thought the production was fire, and the verses were pretty much all dope too. My criticisms would be some mixing issues and possibility in a few cases delivery of the verses.
What's funny is that no one is actually trashing the album in disliking it. We're seeing a lot of "too soft", "bad hooks". People haven't mentioned one wack verse, mentioned one horrible track, haven't said album isn't cohensive, or the the beats clash with the Clan. Their only offense/defense has been "bad hooks" and "soft music".
im confused as to which joints are 'soft'. Preacher's Daughter, ok I guess a bit
hopefully not talking about the title track or Reunion, that would not be an opinion I could take seriously. soul does not equal soft
Exactly, it's grown up music for Wu. Maybe the one's bashing weren't brought up on soul. I love Preacher's Daughter. M-e-f killed that ish. And I love Reunion as well. It's no more soft than 80% of Ghost's catalog...and less than that half-a$$ R&B collabos Rae been doin lately. I think I'll listen to it tomorrow and then put it up for a while.
