The World, but from BK
I hear you. I'm really starting to be concerned about RZA now. I actually enjoyed 8 Diagrams ALOT. I loved most of the beats he had on there. But the sh!t I've heard so far has been "meh". How the hell can you listen to Ron O'Neal and say it has some "fly" vibe to it? I know alot of people like it, but that's not the Clan I like. Fvck you calling Rick Rubin for? I'm hoping for the best but he has me worried. Ghost saying this is up there with Forever helps a lil tho.

:patrice: I'd prolly feel more positive if it was Patrice

Gonna be trash. All other reasons aside, this is how you know:

RZA actually, truly thinks Ron O'Neal is a hot record.

Let that sink in. That garbage is representative of this album.

Wu is over.

Rae being on board makes me feel more confident but the tracks released so far are eh. It's weird that instrumental hip hop is almost never funky. It's really boring guitar or keyboard shyt with doesn't make you head nod. I'd rather hear them rapping over some Black Keys shyt: hard riffs. Throw in some baselines and drums then you're good to go...

I'm not abandoning hope tho. But man I wish RZA did this like DJ Khalil. Khalil has musicians do a jam session for long periods of time, and he records everything. Then he listens and chops it into samples, which helps create funky parts even if the jam was straight forward Rock.
real talk i think no producer incorporated guitars better than 1996-1999 era Mannie Fresh

Ghostface Killah: I know the next album we do, we going straight bananas on it. This one’s got a few played beats, like how I did the Twelve Reasons To Die shyt. But it’s cool. It’s not wack, whatever the case may be. But we going back to all them samples and just going bananas crazy like the first album. That’s what I’m waiting for.

This really stands out. REALLY stands out. My nikka said "its not wack." :beli:

You know Wu's PR team got that :snoop: look everytime Ghost goes in for media interviews, his best attempt to lend praise of their work was to give it the biggest backhanded compliment he could come up with on the spot:pachaha:
