Rae being on board makes me feel more confident but the tracks released so far are eh. It's weird that instrumental hip hop is almost never funky. It's really boring guitar or keyboard shyt with doesn't make you head nod. I'd rather hear them rapping over some Black Keys shyt: hard riffs. Throw in some baselines and drums then you're good to go...

I'm not abandoning hope tho. But man I wish RZA did this like DJ Khalil. Khalil has musicians do a jam session for long periods of time, and he records everything. Then he listens and chops it into samples, which helps create funky parts even if the jam was straight forward Rock.

RZA has made some dope beats over the last few years but it's painfully clear that he is nowhere near as creative as he used to be. I swear the next track that leaks and it sounds like some Ron O'neal or leftover Chamber Music sh!t and I'm done with the God. I'll be the first dude campaigning for any possible Clan projects to be handled by Alchemist or Bronze Naz or some sh!t.

Ghostface Killah: This is RZA’s vision.
Method Man: Make no mistake; this is RZA’s shyt. This is his shyt.

not trying to throw salt etc but you can take that as...
"if you don't like it, blame Rza not us" :whoa: or on the other hand you can take it in a positive way that Rza's is handling everything.

sounds like as much as Rae or Ghostface or whoever feel like dragging their heels in about the direction Rza wants to go in, they'll always come around to his way eventually and Rza know's this.

i've not liked really anything i've heard so far from the album but i don't want to fully dismiss them.

RZA feels his music for A Better Tomorrow is timeless music:

This has me very concerned:

RZA: On the music side, Wu-Tang has definitely been a band that has toured around the world and we’ve found ourselves touring with the likes of The Black Keys or Jack White—just many festival type of arenas. If you bring our classic catalog of Hip Hop, there’s also a side that’s not reached by us because there’s a stereo mix of our music coming out instead of a live band performance. This album has incorporated that sound. This is a record that actually any band that can actually play, it’s been written out and charted out so that you can pass it to any house band. [If] you’re going on [David Letterman], “Here, pass it to the house band and they can play it.” That’s very different than the old Hip Hop that was too many dissonant chords that couldn’t really be translated because of sampling. So I found a way to translate the Wu-Tang sound in the proper progressions so that a band can play it now.
Yeah...this album is going to be trash :to:

This nicca RZA is always trying to force his musical knowledge on people smh just stop overthinking sh1t, lock the clan away in a dusty basement for 4 months and get the album done...niccas is begging for some raw authentic sh1t and these niccas out here bullsh1tting playing games

I haven't liked one song that's leaked from this album...all of it has been very generic

Rza is a cancer at this point. Hope he proves me wrong but this hardheaded ego maniac thought a bad kung fu flick and a Paul Walker joint were good looks so his head is submerged in the clouds.

I don't know why you're so concerned, RZA is a great producer plus the whole clan is behind him on this one. If Ghostface says the album is on par with Wu-Tang Forever then it probably is. Maybe it's the Wu stan in me but I really want this shyt to drop. Besides 8 diagrams was so terrible, it can't get any worse than that.

The only thing that annoys me is that fakkit Rick Rubin producing the track with ODB but I won't judge the song until I hear it.
