Italians are skilled as fukk when it comes to building beautiful shyt. Some tradies were so treasured, that some glass makers were even banned from migrating to other countries during the renaissance period as they seen as national treasures. You might have 10 generations of Italian masons or tilers in one family. They take pride in their work

some years ago an Catholic church in my old hood up north brought over some Italian workers to install the exterior tiles on their new building. today, i notice the Cubans immigrants here in miami have great building skills. we know how to jail break phones and get free cable.

another tube on the topic.

Just found the source

Murano’s reputation as a centre for glassmaking was born when the Venetian Republic, fearing fire and destruction to the city’s mostly wood buildings, ordered the destruction of all the foundries within the city in 1291.[5] Though the Republic ordered the destruction of the foundries, it authorised and encouraged construction outside the city, and by the late 13th century, the glassmaking industry was centred in Murano. Murano glass is still interwoven with Venetian glass.

Murano's glassmakers were soon the island’s most prominent citizens. By the 14th century, glassmakers were allowed to wear swords, enjoyed immunity from prosecution by the Venetian state and found their daughters married into Venice’s most affluent families. Of course there was a catch: Glassmakers were not allowed to leave the Republic. Many craftsmen took this risk, however, and set up glass furnaces in surrounding cities and as far afield as England and the Netherlands.

that respect :banderas:

:ehh:This week I attempted to construct a wood fire pizza oven for my mother. She likes to bake breads for the whole family and she found a kit that was half price at an auction.:ehh: I took a day off. Because these types of projects needed 2 people to lay the foundation and the brickwork, I called 20 of my pals, each of them did not know anything about basic carpentry or any handyman skilled that you would expect a father to teach his sons.:snoop:I even offered them money and delicious woodfire pizza after we finished the project :ohlawd:None of them knew anything about basic brickwork or woodwork. At the end of the day, I had to pay this old Italian dude 300 dollars for a day worth of work :damn:I' ain't a Tradie but I still see basic handy man skills essential for any man to learn. Especially in this economy. Brehs need to start learning those male skills.

answered your own question there, a lot of dudes dont have a dad around to teach them these things

I cannot stand any type of work like that, I'll just pay someone to do these things for me…..because thats one thing you do with money, spend time doing things you LIKE, I hate that tool belt shyt….But, it's also true my Dad wasn't around to teach me either, but that presupposes he would have been able to teach me, and I would have been willing to learn…

That said, constructing a fukking outdoor brick pizza oven…..does not qualify at all, for 'basic handyman skills…..anywhere.

Most of these men have been raised by women.

Worse, these schools going overboard with standardized testing and lack well-rounded behaviors for men to develop. Back in the day, public schools did all that shyt to teach men. Now, they going overboard with false hopes of promising men that they can get a comfy white-collar job that no longer exist.
