The seperation between what's fake and what's real
the entire time I was watching this video, all I could think about is how white people are directly responsible for what Chicago has become.
remove the fathers, tear down the housing development forcing rivaling people to coexist, closing schools, opening new prisions.
and even in the midst of all of this, there are Black people who think it's Black people's fault that Chicago and other Black communities are destroyed and will argue their point to the ends of the earth.
you c00ns who Blame Black people for this are worse than the White people who laid the foundation for the chaos to fester and spread.
sure its their fault but its our fault for staying in it and not getting ourselves out of it...or we waiting for the same hand to help us that put us there?
There were a lot of points i didnt really know, or take into consideration at least that i learned from this documentary.
1) I didnt know they tore down all the high rise projects in the city at the same time... basically they tried to recreate the way katrina cleaned up new orleans but it backfired. thats sad on many levels.
2) I didnt know that they lead a task force and specifically locked down all the middle tier gang members the real leaders of the gangs
The senselessness chicago gangbanging makes sense to me now... its a fluctuation not an equilibrium point, it will settle down to rational in 10 years or so. Will still be all fukked up but will be rational. Right now its basically the whole city or really southside in a turf war for every gang at the same damn time with the war being ran by 22 year olds using 16 year old solders.
It's prolly cause I live in the area breh. But on some real shyt, the piece that ABC did on this was way better than this.

the only cities that seem to stay bad or get worse is oakland, detroit, newark and st louis..
