All those guys had already spent years in the midcard putting in work tho.

Their pushes were caused by the fans getting behind them and elevating them to the next level. Similar to Punk & Bryan.

Plus those guys never had the type of matches where they just whooped ass 90% of the match.

Cena had been a midcard wigger heel for two years prior to his Superman push.

there are tiers to the push. no one that I watched got bigger pushes than

Hogan, Austin, & Cena

to slightly lesser extent HHH, Diesel, and Shawn Michaels

Yeah, there's definitely different levels.

Like a guy like Edge. For as much as he was pushed, it was transitional when he held the main strap and he held the Smackdown title for majority of his reigns.

I'd even argue against Kurt Angle, because they never actually tried to present him as the face of the company.

yep during Edge's time he was never presented as bigger than Cena, Undertaker, or HHH for that matter.

Kurt got a push, but not a "superman" push. he cheated to win and was comic relief a lot of the time during what i assume most think was his big push in 2000.

Lesnar's push was definitely bigger than Austin & Cena.

Are you talking about initial push or after they had already been on top?

Diesel and Shawn's pushes were every bit as big as Cena and Austin, the only difference was Diesel and Shawn were failures business-wise. Diesel held the title for a damn year.
