The descendents of the disney family ownership percentage of 3 percent puts them in the group of largest sole owners. Funny part is jobs widow is the largest sole owner under 8 percent.Horrible examples after Ford.Walt Disney's descendants aren't even involved in Disney, Roy's are and they own less than 3 percent. It is run by the stockholders. Jobs also had no dominant stake in ownership, he was kicked out of the company back in the 80s. Apple is also run by the stockholders. Those companies could go out of business in the next couple of decades and people will still remember Walt Disney.
Disneys family still profits to this day off disney same as roy s family. Dont confuse management with ownership.
Jobs was kicked out and then when apple was about to die they brought him back and gave him sognificant stock ownership he aold that and bought pixar sold that to disney for disney stock ownership which is why his wife is the largest owner of stock in disney.
