....that's my point

Kareem was old as fukk, no longer dominant, and an elite post defender in Green could guard that version of him who averaged just 17/6 & 19/6 in the RS/PS respectively.

The only people bringing up prime Cap is you guys and if you look at how this all started, on the first thread where the OP found that quote, you'll understand where I'm coming from.

:what: wtf kinda wack narrative is this?? You nikkas is professional spin cyclists man :pachaha:

Draymond doesn't have a prayer in stopping Kareem.

But if I were starting a team I would seriously consider Draymond over Rodman. Rodman was just too limited offensively. He couldn't pass very well and couldn't finish AT ALL. You couldn't depend on Rodman to hit an open lay up.

It's not a narrative

I was comparing the 1987 Lakers and 2016 Warriors. That is the actual thread my original post is from.I never said Green would shut him down, nor did I say that Kareem in his younger days i.e Bucks in 72 wouldn't kill the Warriors, as he largely couldn't be fukked with and had one of the GOAT seasons in NBA history. That wasn't Cap at 39-40.

but since reading is hard, most people here dont understand that

He was fukkin 40.....
That was what the argument was about from the VERY start. Then you had cornballs putting their own spin on it, on what version of Cap was being used in the discussion. Just like every other discussion that gets taken out of context on this board. Dudes can't even be bothered to read properly.

The hype Kareem do NOT get always baffles me. I know he is respected and those who know know but God damn it the man is the HIGHEST scorer in the league ever with 6 rings...Do people realize what that means? He is arguably the GOAT

Don't forget he was the LEAGUE'S MVP SIX FUCCKIN' TIMES as well!

Nah, height is not more important than denying him positioning. He was so damn good at sealing his man to get inside position and Magic was always able to find him the second he was open. Draymond's physicality/strength to push him away and hands once he does catch the ball suits him well in this matchup. The Warriors are also the best in the league at swarming and helping off non shooters, would encourage him to pass the ball back out to the perimeter.

Kareem is going to have a lot more problems defensively than vice versa
