because he would. '87 Kareem wasn't dominant anymore and could be contained by great team defense that starts with an elite initial defender like Green, who's the best post defender in the game.

Consider the fact that Kareem averaged 17-6 against a Warriors defense that was one of the worst in the league in 1987. Joe Barry Carroll isn't close to Green as a defender, Kareem's mpg was dramatically lower than in his prime because of his age and wasn't gonna get much better against a Warriors team that would expose the hell out of him defensively when going small

Mentioning Dray's height really misses the point of why he's the best defender in the league. Strength, tenacity, awareness and great hands are more important than height.

Draymond Green is the product of a softer/smaller league. He'd be eaten alive had he come up in a different era, it was a different time back then and Kareem wasn't getting stopped by ANYONE which is why he's one of the greatest scorers of all time.
