:mjlol: stop it, Ben Simmons was put 16 pts, 8 assists, 8 rbs and I believe at the time had shooters around him. Dude fell off a cliff. He was trending up
All that said he was still always going to be a huge liability. Comparing him to someone who can carry the offense was foolish

Even the Draymond’s of the league will take & make shots.Ben refusal told it all

nope...Ben is special and thats not to say Tatum isn't but Ben isn't the type of player you give up on unless he keeps having recurring foot issues...He's a generational talent...MYGM wouldn't even allow the 76ers to do that trade you would have to force a trade override.

Generational talent :dead:

Man I remember when Dejounte was balling his last year in SA there was all this stuff about flipping him for Ben Simmons :dead:

Imagine Pop dealing with a dude who got a kangaroo accent and doesn't want to play:dead:

I could legit see Pop throwing Ben on the court after a timeout like

Sorry, I'm bored and stoned on a weekend morning :lolbron:

what I said wasn’t dishonest the dude is an injury prone grifting ass styish bum. He shouldn’t be much longer for the nba. But with my luck Ben Simmons in a contract year will preform well and sucker another team into signing him.

TBH, Ben Simmons really was a generational talent, he just didn't have the mental game to maximize it.

You can't name five players who had his combination of height, body control, and court awareness. 6'10" and a smooth ballhandler with the ability to see the court and defend the perimeter at an elite level.....that's a RARE combination. Put Magic, Kidd, or Bron's mind in the same body and he'd have won titles and MVPs with Embiid on some Magic-Kareem or Bron-AD shyt.

No such thing as a "generational talent" who can't and won't shoot.

Been was a great passer and great defender but I never watched him play and walked away like oh wow this guy is going to win DPOY a few times or that Philly would be in trouble if he didn't play.

Jason Kidd was a generational talent long before he learned how to shoot. LeBron would have been a generational talent even if he couldn't shoot.

The issue with Ben Simmons wasn't that he lacked talent. It was that he failed to develop his potential.

Generational talent has NOTHING to do with someone's mental :dahell:

I was on the Simmons bandwagon at one point. nikka had the tools to be an alltimer. Thought he was next up in that Magic, Bron category. I'm not ashamed to say I had faith in the boy until Trae exposed him.

Let's say Boston offered you this deal straight up. Would you do it?

Tryna get some some views and commentary for when I play My League in 2K19.

I think id pull the trigger. Not sure though. I think Tatum may have the better career but Ben may be HoF status by the time he's retired.:patrice:

Philly with Tatum better than Philly with Ben?

LMAO

At the time of this thread… this was still a legitimate question. Simmons is a joke now but up until that Atlanta series he was giving you 16 10 with elite defense/playmaking.

Tatum is obviously the better player now but some of y’all acting like this wasn’t a debate in 2018. :skip:
