Would you still game as much as you do if AAA gaming died?

Would you still game much as you do without AAA game releases?

  • Of course, i love games, i actually enjoy indies more than AAA

  • Eh, I’d still game but not nearly as much

  • Naw, I’d probably find another hobby

These days I mostly play triple A games so I wouldn't play as much. Eventually I would probably adjust to the other games

I’m falling back off AAA already. Started to realize most of them go for too long and it’s not fun that’s driving me..just trying to complete them.

Spiderman 2 tho :ohlawd:

Most of the games i play are not AAA. Gaming only with AAA games has to be disappointing, something you do not have to deal with when you expand your horizons.

Gaming could die right now and I’d still boot up old consoles and play.

I think I would find more gems due to not having FOMO with AAA games.

I think people often make the mistake of thinking AAA means the yearly COD game or Ass Creed game.

AAA games vary with huge blockbusters like Uncharted, God of War or COD to GTA, Forza, Gran Turismo, Halo, Fortnite to other games people tend not to think too much about.

Not having anymore AAA games would mean games such as:

Fortnite wouldn't exist
Apex Legends
Genshin Impact is a F2P AAA Gacha game
Diablo IV
Mortal Kombat 1
Tears of the Kingdom
Pokemon Games
Super Mario 3D platformers/Side Scrollers
Animal Crossing
Smash Bros!
Mario Kart
Splatoon
Elden Ring

ALL of these games would literally not exist anymore. AAA isn't just the standard "Sony movie game" where you're walking through a forest talking for 10 minutes before you fight some epic boss.

Indie Games etc. are cool but I'm not trying to just be stuck with Stray and Hi-Fi Rush for the rest of time.

I'm not a big a fan of most indie games, so not as much, but i do like some older retro games. So i would probably throw on some battle toads or some stuff like that on occasion, but yeah not gaming nearly as much without AAA titles.

How does saying that if you only play "AAA" games you may have a negative view of the gaming landscape "snobby"? I have seen people in this forum complain about the "lack of games" out over the years but that has not been the case when they said it.

I think some of those games are below Gizmo's 25-30m budget cutoff
