I lived out by Joshua Tree for about 4 years or so, going to say cold. With the heat, you can't do too much during the day. Having to shower 3x a day after running errands, electric bill through the roof (although you can make that same argument with the cold)

At least in cold conditions there's steps you can take to help like extra layers, goggles etc. The fukk can you do in the hottest area on earth except sweat your balls off and hope to die?

I experienced Chicago winters a lot growing up, it's cold and windy as shyt but the weather isn't like up here.

Growing up I remember flying to Chicago with a thick winter jacket in the spring and when I reach I didn't need it. They have cold days

A more accurate inverse temperature of 130 degrees F would be around 15 to 20 degrees below.

Have you ever walked around during a heat advisory? I accidently ran in 110 temps. Now imagine 140 degrees, you can do shyt but sit there. That shyt ain't nothing fuk with.

I remember during a bus strike having to walk to school my eye lashes would freeze.

But you're all talking about living in the coldest place on earth.

Coldest I've ever been is like -10F.....hottest was 128 F near Death Valley.

That heat hits different once you get over 115F. Even with no humidity.....

If I'm living near a nice beach, I'd take heat but living in the interior of any continent, I'm taking cold.

at least in the cold you can develop infrastructure around that factor. to control heat you need exponentially more resources to accommodate basic life

I used to say I’d rather live in the cold, but after sleeping in tin huts in boot camp and combat school in January & February, give me the heat all day.

Unbearable heat makes me angry but I be feeling like I’m about to die in super cold conditions
