Definitely. There's always more attention and danger with women in public spaces in general. A man (presenting masculine) can walk the streets alone at night. A woman no. Also many Ts women are escorts so that's a risky job. Trans men a lot of times can transition more smoothly and pass well enough to be in work spaces without causing too much attention. I feel like what trans women represent to people is more "disgusting"...there's so many things that intersect with trans women that makes it harder for people to accept. No different than the idea of gay men vs lesbians. Even though trans men and trans women basically both intersect man/woman in similar ways. It's more liency and understandable for trans men. They get "sympathy" and also won't be demonized as much, but this also (like trans women) means people won't take them seriously. This dynamic can get so deep and go so many ways.
Okay, okay. Doing anything that is perceived to be masculine is fine- becoming a transmen, women wearing masculine clothes (but not too masculine because you still gotta be feminine)- any of that is fine, but doing anything that is perceived to be feminine- becoming a transwoman, wearing feminine clothes, in the case of gay men or even straight men that get pegged etc.- is then seen as "wrong" because inherently femininity is seen as weaker and why would you, especially as a man, want to be weak? There's so much to unpack with the way we try to keep this shyt so rigid and how women are expected to be. A girl can be a "tomboy" but it's expected for her to grow out of it and start wearing dresses and stuff and become the object of a man's desire, but she can't make him too lusty or else she's tempting rape and stuff or she's a slut. Vagina is such a point of contention. You're crazy for having one, wanting one or wanting to get rid of one.

Hmmm it's a no from me too.

I figure there will be things that I'll have to deal with, that I don't want to deal with - like more procedural sex, the penis pumps or dildos; or having to adopt or do IVF in the future.

So for you it's too complicated?

Shut up. You wouldn't date a trans woman. Stop trying to be funny.
But I'm a closed minded bigot. I freely admit that, I'm also a man who lacks empathy. I just figured more women would be opened to it. I'm not trying to be funny. Please don't get mad.

I know. But most people are like you. You're not different.

That, and there are huge cross sections of society that I'd never consider for romantic partnership, and the reasons vary. I don't accept that bc I'm feminist or bc I'm a woman I should practise more inclusive dating. The same way I don't date men of particular races, I don't date men of particular gender backgrounds.
