:comeon: Ending War on Drugs is more complex than you think. It ties into the money laundering of International Banks and Multinational Corporations. Drugs have ran the U.S. economy for over 30 years. Ending that ends Capitalism. Ending that ends Prison Industrial Complex. Ending that ends half of the Military Industrial Complex.

doubt it.

Hmmm . . . War on Drugs started in the 70s, Prison/Military Industrial Complex started in the 60s, while Capitalism's origins are from the 13th century. I think the idea it relies on these other systems is a misnomer. What happened before 30 years ago?

Obama not ending the war on drugs cause it makes the government to much dough. But he will make sure Ganja is decriminalized in more states before he leaves office then it was when he got in. The Marijuana War took a huge turn on election day. More states will introduce legislation. Obama about to change the game on the Drug Wars when it comes to Marijuana arrest cause they make up the most arrest for any drug in the U.S. They are already preparing to drop 1,000's of cases in Colorado and Washington once the law goes into effect. Now that Obama isn't running again, he will cool the Feds off of it. Obama also already changed the laws on Crack/Coke sentencing disparities. Also the 3 strike rule is going down in many states. All these laws affect Blacks when it comes to prison. Obama will be a Legend when this is all said and done for how progressively he moved the country in a new direction:

Over 30 years ago. All three were combined.

My baby Jill Stein:

"President Obama promised to use a science-based approach to public policy. But when it comes to marijuana, he has continued the unscientific policies of George Bush, and has even gone far beyond Bush in his attacks upon medical marijuana clinics. He supports the irrational classification of marijuana in the most dangerous drug category, and he supports the ban on commercial hemp growing. This is mania-based policy, not science-based policy."

:ohhh:

The states are dropping cases, has nothing to do with anything on federal level
The 3 strike rule is decided at a state level as well
The Crack/coke disparity is still way out of wack

Obama's raiding dispensaries and growers at a larger rate than Bush did after stating he respect states decision regarding the issue

Stop giving credit to the man for things he has no part of or things you think he's going to do

I'm hoping he turns the corner in his second term and moves toward reform but nothings going to change while he still has people like this working for him

Obama is not ending the war on marijuana. He just didn't say anything about Washington and Colorado because they didn't want people to stay home on election day. The Department of Justice is gearing up to go at those laws as we speak, and they always knew they would. They just were quiet due to politics. There were literally articles on this last Tuesday. You guys are going to have to accept that politicians at the national level are going to fail you on the marijuana issue. I have no idea what's up with the Obama administration on the issue of marijuana, he and a bunch of people in his administration and in the DOJ know that shyt is stupid. One of those guys in the DOJ is who inspired me to be an attorney when I ran into him years ago, I have no clue what's up with them.

The legalization Marijuana is making progress in spite of Obama not because of him :comeon:.

My only hope is that enough states vote to legalize it (not just medical Marijuana...just out right legalize it), hopefully if enough states do it in time then maybe just maybe Obama is do something on a federal level on his way out the door.

You know the biggest thing holding it back is u cant control weed!! U can say "yeah the Government is dumb they should legalize it and collect taxes on it". However weed isn't like alcohol or even tobacco for that matter...if they legalized it anybody could grow their own shyt. I know IM not paying the government shyt!! I would be smoking that home grown :smoker:

I don't see how the federal law doesn't just trump the state law using the commerce clause which is the justification of regulating it in the first place. I can bring up the cases later, but this victory is short-lived.
