Mlk and x would be monsters in the social media era

MLK was demonized well before social media. Elon would use X to tear him apart every single day. I always tell dopey white boys that MLK was hated and got his ass beat and arrested on the regular. They'll look at me confused and say stupid shyt like "don't go all Malcolm X on me now" They really have no idea that a man celebrated and treated like a hero was once the most hated man in America for standing up for black rights.

Back then those in power would just have you killed or imprisoned. That was only sort of effective. You could rid the more radical elements of opposition but those that survived could be even more ideologically stalwart and able.


Nowadays they just buy you off. Someone like Malcolm would’ve had the brinks truck backed up to his house and potentially be subsumed into white supremecist order like Candace Owen’s, Hodge Twins, Kanye, Tarik etc.

He would go from being a gifted public speaker to a few thousand to getting millions of YouTube views and Peter Theil, US state department and Putin dropping a few M’s into his bank account.


Could he ideologically survive that? He died hunted and harassed in relative poverty. Would he have the fortitude to see a mansion on a hill and silk sheets and still be the same man?


I don’t know.
