He likely would just be another person with a youtube page and a podcast. The truth is that there are many brilliant black authors and intellectuals who have the potential to pick up where he left off, but they're drowned out by a lot of noise in the media.

Besides, leaderless resistance is extremely effective in the modern day. Look how it's worked for white supremacists and Islamic terrorist groups. Al qaeda and isis still exist but most people don't know who is running them. That is by design.

I predict in the future, groups will fabricate leaders. The fake leaders who are made with deep fake technology will be a red herring that governments continue to chase while the organization builds strength and the perception of having an invincible leadership structure.

The irony of course is that they'd be right to believe that, but right in the wrong way. A movement exists as long as there are people who feel wronged by the status quo. If fascism presents itself, anti fascism will respond. If white supremacy presents itself, anti racism will respond. If wealth inequality presents itself, anti capitalist movements will respond.

The next 4 years will put a battery in the back of all anti oppressive movements. The democratic socialists of America had basically no motion until the first Trump presidency and they gained many new supporters.
