Steph is a PG, he’s been a PG his entire NBA career.. you always with the slick shyt :unimpressed:

BUT HE PLAYS LIKE
REGGIE MILLER, RIP HAMILTON...SGs
INSTEAD OF A TRADITIONAL PG
AND NO ONE HAS A PROBLEM
WITH IT IN THIS ERA.

HE WOULD BE shytTED ON
FOR THIS STYLE OF PLAY
FROM THE PG POSITION IN

PREVIOUS ERAS.

steph, garland, luka?, Murray, Westbrook, Russell, Irving, dame, fox, van fleet, trae, schroder, lamelo, Maxey, . I probably mixed a few. Of those some of them are PGs on currently winning teams. I probably missed a couple this was off the head. Jrue holiday and Brogdon could have an argument made also.

Of that list, more than half are shytty PGs, and more than half are on .500 or less losing teams. That's not exactly threatening.

Is this era where they only run PnR and lobs, and still can't avg 14apg....let alone 12apg for 7 straight seasons. His passing was elite. You didn't have to be open for him to find you, because once he saw you being open 3 movements ago. Very few PGs had that ability. As for scoring, he could shoot, he just didn't do it enough. That's something Zeke, Magic and others greats say they wished he'd done more of, so the casuals would realize how great he was.

As for getting beat, his skill was knowing where you were trying to be, and beating you there. Even as the game sped up, and PGs got shifter he stayed with that skill. Today's PnR wouldn't kill him because they don't set true picks. They don't seal off the defender...they also don't know how to make the entry pass.

Even in this era, he's still would've given you at least 15 & 12 for 6-8 straight years.
Excellent and on point assessment. Stock is great in any era. Like this era is elite or something.

Edit:

@CHICAGO cooked this thread. Close it.

Boy couldn’t even dribble to his left and you wanna ask top 3?
people need to stop acting like this era of sizing up for 10 seconds before taking a step back jumper is some elite ball handling skill that these hall of famers would be incapable of adding to their game. The entire league isn't kyrie irving or anywhere close to that.

He'd be elite for sure. He would be great, especially on a team with wings and no real set-up man, like Boston.

Stockton on Philly instead of Ben, they are championship favorites the last few years.
