I honestly think he deserved it for Godfather 1, over Brando. He was just brilliant. His transformation from hero to villain from perfectly acted.

however he was put in best supporting category...and still lost

Best supporting actor? The fukk...he was in like 90% of the scenes lol. Oscars are more like lifetime achievement awards. They give awards out for weaker movies as a "we fukked up ignoring you all these years...here u go"

The Academy be on some bullshyt. Pacino didn't win for GF 2 but got one for Scent Of A Woman. That was their way of saying our bad. Denzel should have won for Malcolm X or Hurricane, but won for Training Day. Another our bad award. Scorsese should have won for Raging Bull or GoodFellas.

nikkas overrate the fukk out of Russel Crowe in that movie. There was nothing about his performance that should make you think he deserves it over Denzel. Hell, he kept slipping into the Aussie accent at certain point.
